So what's everyone's experience with DOAX3 like so far?

I'm quite enjoying it. I mean, it's just more DOAX except prettier so it's nothing really new but that's basically what I wanted anyway. The Owner stuff does add an extra layer and the few things they took out weren't things I ever played anyway. I'm also really liking that the photography controls seem much better this time around. The new swim suits are overall quite nice though maybe lacking in variety (but I definitely haven't seen them all yet anyway).

My only real complaints are that they've re-used a few too many of the gravure scenes and I'd still like to see Mila added at some point.

Wait didn't Koei Tecmo say they weren't importing this game to North America..how the hell do you have a copy OP. Well unless you went to the hassle of importing a Japanese copy.

I like it. Paradise being my first vacation on Zack Island (Never had an Xbox), I'm a bit disappointed that not much has changed. Needs more activities (would like that Jetski one) but knowing KT, it'll probably be DLC.

Yes I have a Japanese copy., and it wasn't a hassle at all. All I did was order through cdjapan. The PS4 isn't region locked so it plays non-North American games just fine right out of the box with no extra work outside of optionally creating a Japanese PSN account.

You can also import the "Asian" version that is translated to English if you'd like.

I don't miss the jet skis at all simply because they were pretty terrible. If they were done well, however (and there are some GREAT jetski games out there.. or there were at least) then I would love to see it back. I'm finding myself missing Accessories even though I didn't even realize they were gone at first.. but that's probably largely because I love glasses on girls and Accessories allowed me that option for all of the cast. :)

The Casino hates me.

I procrastinated too long and missed out on getting the PSV Asian ver. Collector's Edition so I ordered the Japanese ver. through AmiAmi. The game isn't hard to figure out without translated text but I may still get the PS4 Asian version down the line anyway so I can enjoy the extra visuals (tanlines!!!). Haven't redeemed the codes for the swimsuits yet but the ones in the shop look cute enough, expensive though.

I just got my copy (the PSV English Sub version) today. I ordered it, believe it or not, through Amazon Prime. They have a very limited amount of copies. Looks like the SJWs are going to get the last laugh, heh, heh, heh.

The only issue I'm having is with some of the missions. Some are pretty obvious (I want to play tug of war! I'm thirsty! Etc.) but some are a little more out there for someone not at all well versed in reading kana. Of course, the missions are one of the key ways, if not THE key way to raise Owner level. :/

Eh, I still think that was more sort of veiled self promotion by Tecmo than any real push back from the "SJWs" The previous DOAX games didn't really sell all that well for various reasons and the reviews have almost always been middling at best. The "the SJWs hate this game and we're not going to bring it out in North America because of that!" shtick easily brought DOAX3 more hype than it would have received if it just was released in North American/EU stores silently. Not saying that there wouldn't have been a backlash from the more overzealous types had it been released but Tecmo was playing that card before there was even any chance for a backlash to truly develop.

All of the DOA 5 downloads are available in NA, despite the fact they are more expensive than the actual game (I have it on Steam by the way). So my main guess is that Tecmo thinks NA gamers prefer the fighting games over a volleyball game, despite the prescense of well endowed females in both games. Besides, there's worse stuff out there. The SJWs just want to go after the best known titles.

How is the volleyball mechanic this time around? In the last two I sometimes got this problem when you spike the ball the ball would disappear and ur left spiking an invisible ball. Your only choice is to quit and lose friend points. Has this problem been fixed?

I'm finding the volleyball way more tactile in DOAX3. Button presses feel way less laggy than they used to and the AI doesn't cheat it's ass off like it used to on Hard. I mean, it still loves to screw you out of that final point for the shut out if you're up 6-0 but it's not as obvious when it's decided you're going to lose and you have no hope to win. The stat differences between characters also feel even more pronounced this time around. It's not really any deeper volleyball wise than it used to be but, to me at least, it just feels better. And I haven't noticed any real glitches in my play time. There's some odd physics here and there but nothing that has caused me to quit and reload or anything like that, in volleyball or any other portion of the game.

Looks like they improved the volleyball quite a bit and looks like that bug is fixed. I always had that problem with last two games. So how are the swimsuits any old one's make it back to the game? I saw some pics and a pink one for Kasumi made back.
