No, we were created to procreate as man and women. So, it's abnormal (to me).

It's not 'normal', but neither is liking anime. Who wants to be normal?

It was said to be a mental illness for the longest time until those who argued this caved in under political pressure. Not the fact it was proven not to be.

No it's not normal at all.

I feel content with who I am in society. I like girls, is that wrong? It's just a preference and there's nothing wrong with having preference to certain things. It's the same as saying I like neutral colours over vibrant colours.

However, most of the population is straight so being gay isn't normal.

There's really no need to make this into a psychology debate.

Yes sort of, normal is the average( I doubt any of us are average). Gay isnt normal in that respect, but it has been widely documented in many natural history studies, the ppls havnt documented it much due to their squeamishment in some studies most of the population of a species has been homosexual but an unuasual question to be asking. Do you realy give a f**k what other ppls think if you feal that strongly?

Function does not dictate normalcy. A gay man or woman is very likely able to procreate, but just as they wish and are free not to do so, among other things being gay is perfectly normal (to them).

I beg to differ. Function dictates purpose. Without that, there is no meaning or relevancy to something existing.

Biology tells us man and woman were meant to be together. Otherwise a man or woman could either pregnate themselves, or by the same gender. But that is not the case(unless you believe in Catholic/Christian beliefs where Mary preganted herself which is slightly off topic. Nonetheless the fact remains biology itself, tells us how things were meant to be.

Then find justification for normalcy being dependent on purpose. Biology is also sometimes very haphazard and unpredictable, so why conform to a purpose when we are perfectly happy as haphazard and unpredictable beings to enjoy our lives how we see fit?

Sure it is, I don't get what the big deal is. My friend is gay and I'm pretty normal about it. He's actually a very nice guy.
I mean he can't really do anything if he doesn't like women and treating him as "strange" won't help either. It will only make him feel worse about himself and society. All people are different and we should be as tolerant as possible, this is not 1950.

I will just give an example then.

Tree's were meant to absorb carbon dioxide and other potential harmful gasses and release oxygen that is breathable. That is what they do, therefor that is there purpose because if they did not do this. There would be something wrong by our biological understanding. Thus, justifying that is the way they were meant to function. This is far fetched, but I think you get the point.

It's not normal, but who cares? Be who you want to be.
