I remember when crunchyroll had a lot of payment options. We the users even figured ways for other users to use them in a way that's pretty neat and sometimes almost for free. Crunchyroll even had Bitcoin for a season. "LAWL"

Though, I think crunchyroll settled down to having a small amount of payment methods to simplify the system and easier to track. From the track record of what I've seen, I don't think crunchyroll will add any new payment methods anytime soon unless there is some amazing benefit behind having said new payment method. I think this has been the case for the last two years as I haven't found any other neat ways to pay for crunchyroll membership in that time span.

(I know that there is a small constituent here that doesn't like sharing their cards or even sharing other info or doesn't like the idea of having a subscription based account.)

We have "paymentez" as a payment method for LATAM for example. The last thing we did globally was switching PayPal to a different system that allows users in countries with more restrictive banking laws, like Germany, to use PayPal to subscribe and to give users more control over their subscription via PayPal itself.

Yeah. Cool. I remember reading a lot of threads about German users with problems with Paypal and such. Glad that was fixed.

Been out of touch with helping the folks here. Hope that it isn't too hectic on the other side of things.

Using a card and then having the information purged until it's needed again is one thing. I don't think that it's remotely accurate to think that only a small number of users would object if they knew Crunchyroll forces them to keep the card on file up to 360 days, ready to use in the store by an intruder (which has been frequent for a while now). Much less if they knew that even if you turn auto-renew off (removing any reasonable excuse for keeping the card), you're still not allowed to take your card off.
