Yeah, the climb wasn't bad. That whole linear obstacle course run was pretty idiotic though.

As for the prompt; I'm not sure I've played a game in recent memory that tried so hard to constantly remind you it was just a game. You're forever being bombarded with game notifications, dlc advertisements, multiplayer ads, etc. Any semblance of immersion or tension the game attempts gets tossed out the minute in a matter of minutes.

And don't get me started on how it randomly disables the grappling hook whenever it wants to force you to play a level the way it wants you too instead of the way you've been playing the other 90% of the game.

Sorry, I finished the game more out of spite than enjoyment so I'm still ranty about it. It just got consistently worse rather than better. Its basically a 5 hour game padded out with 30 hours of MMO style questing, achievements, grinding, etc.

Also the controls felt like I was trying to play Mirror's Edge while drunk. -.-

The whole grappling hook thing annoyed me, like in the last bit, there's the room with the bunch of zombies that could have easily been crossed with the grappling hook, but no, you have to parkour across because tension, I guess. And yeah, but I think the side quests were more interesting than the main storyline, especially with the way it ended. I got the special edition with the Following DLC, but I'm still questioning whether I want to play it or not.

Likewise. I hear the expansion is better than the original game. But the original game soured me on the whole concept so much I haven't bothered with the expansion yet. I might have if the expansion wasn't completely separate from the main game ( you actually have to import your save into it. It has no physical connection at all to the main game. ). So all the new stuff from the expansion wasn't added over to the base game.

Plus it adds a vehicle. So I assume its just a bad rehash of GTA but with zombies. Much like the base game just badly rehashes 3 or 4 other games but with zombies.

I need to go play a palate cleanser for a while before I come back to this. ;p

I've only played a few minutes of the DLC, and they have a thing where you'll have to do repairs on it when it gets damaged by scavenging parts and there's the possibility of upgrades, which I probably won't care about unless needed.
But I agree, currently playing Dishonored, and also went and bought 3 more games, so I'm sure it'll be a quite a while before I come back to it.

The game is about having a pokemon battle with puzzle. to win make his pokemon life meter go down and just hope you have a higher combo.

Yeah, the vehicle adds yet another skill tree to the game.

I'm finally getting my arse around to the Witcher 3.

Yeah I'll just use it for travel, don't really care too much unless it's something that will come in handy.

Witcher 3 looks interesting from some streams I had watched, but I haven't played the previous ones, so I didn't pay it too much attention.

It's actually the final boss of the last game you played, not the last boss you fought. So it wouldn't be the Crystal Sage if you played DSIII

Honestly, the 3 games aren't really connected story wise. About all the share is world lore and some characters. Playing 1 doesn't help you understand 2 nor does 2 really help you understand 3. -.-

Really? Huh. I guess I'll have to add it to my list then.

One of the biggest shortcomings of one of the greatest games of all time, The Ocarina of Time, is how incredibly simple and easy it is to win the final battle with Ganon. I've got a long sword, gold earrings, and long blond hair, and I can do somersaults for days, so... I've got this.

It'd be worth playing 2 as 3 makes some ( very minor, fan oriented ) call backs to 2 if you played 2. Plus 2 is just a straight up great game. 1 I would skip.

Its based on a series of novels and the first game was more "inspired by" than else so nothing that happened in 1 has any real bearing on 2 or 3. They're all completely self contained stories though really. All three games just throw you into the thick of it rather than monologue at you.
