Available on Crunchyroll. Watch it here: Kiznaiver

Synopsis

The anime's setting is a fictional Japanese city named Sugomori City. One day, Noriko Sonosaki tells her classmate Katsuhira Agata, "You have been selected to be a Kiznaiver." The Kizuna System, which allows Katsuhira to share his wounds, connects him to the classmates whose lives and personalities completely differ from his. The Kizuna System is an incomplete system for the implementation of world peace that connects people through wounds. All those who are connected to this system are called Kiznaivers. When one Kiznaiver is wounded, the system divides and transmits the wound among the other Kiznaivers. Sugomori City is built on reclaimed land, but as the years go by, the city's population is decreasing. The story is set in this town where Katsuhira and the others live.

Episode 0 is now out, and it's a behind-the-scenes look at the show that will begin next week.

Episode 0

So they explain what this show is about, and the central theme is collective pain. That jump rope segment there is pretty hilarious seeing that they are doing all sorts of crazy stunts and the like. They had to negotiate an easier goal, but they did manage to clear the mission somehow. Certainly, this show figures to be great, and I'm looking forward to it.

I've liked Trigger's work in the past, so I will probably watch this one. Still not decided however, for some reason it does not seem all that original. Not a bad thing, but not a point in its favor either.

And so it begins where everybody is hurting together as one.

Episode 1

Katsuhira has a pretty high pain tolerance seeing that he was bullied an awful lot because he didn't fight back. In comes Noriko tolet him know that when he feels pain, so does everybody else, and with this new experiment, everybody is feeling it literally. She shoved Katsuhira and that fall would have killed him had it not been shared by the others. As it turns out, the city is one giant experiment for the Kizuna system. That's a great way to start off this show, and while Trigger is known for its craziness, it doesn't go overboard like they usually do. This whole concept of pain sharing ought to lead to something interesting.

A strange start but interesting. The OP song has a catchy tone to it as well.

I like Tenga the most so far, feels like he can be a character that is going to be fun to watch. Agata's a really strange character, not sure I'll like him although there's some background storytelling about him already. Noriko 's connection with the Kiznaiver system is interesting and I think we'll learn even more about how it works besides what's on paper like sharing wounds and damage.

Artwork seems alright so far for a Trigger show. I think the show has potential with the premise.

Absolute potential.

Kiznaiver has an interesting premise and a good enough start to make me watch more. I look forward to how the premise will affect all the characters as well as the interactions between them all.

I'll also be reviewing this series as well at the end of the season, so be on the lookout for that!

Hmm, it's walking on very thin ice right now. Besides the fact that I don't see any character I like (so far) the concept seems a little bit illogical at the moment. But it's too early to judge.

I suppose it's going to be more about how do the characters deal with this weird situation than the actual Kizuna project and so on. That's probably simply a pretext to create the "six kids share their pain" premise. Could have been magic or some shit. Anyway, personally I like Tenga and Nico, but we need to see how this goes of course. Of the two Trigger shows this season, Luluco is more up my alley, but this still interesting, at least because it's visually very creative.

An entertaining start, though my eyes started to glaze over a little during the exposition scene and it was hard to watch MC get beat up so brutally by his schoolmates.

Not truly invested yet but I am definitely interested.

Seems pretty good so far, characters have potential, but I will have to see where they take the concept. I generally don't watch this sort of thing.

Well. Not much to say. MC has some sort of weird pain thing going on and a mysterious past. Largely apathetic because of that.

Got some childhood friend girl or some such who just screams she's going to be left behind in the dust. If not dead. In favour of blue haired girl.

It has a bit of that wacky Trigger feel. But less so than.. well. Their other stuf. Mostly the hospital bit with the disco lights and the mascots.

Getting an interesting.. Feel from it. But beyond that. Hard to describe it at the moment.

No real direction except pain is shared.. also Red-head girl is going to get screwed over.

Polka dots.

A decent start, that's not quite over-the-top that we'd expect from trigger but it seems promising.
The abduction scenes were amusing, given that the kidnappers were in highly conspicuous outfits.

The pain shouldn't really hurt as much as it did given the numbers that divided the total damage, but I can see it being utilised for some novel high-risk missions.

Curious at the cross-shaped scars at the beginning - the MC had it in front of his heart, and the girl had it on the back of her neck, which seems to point to Noriko with the diamonds along her neck.

Liking Noriko and Chidori so far, though poor Chidori - she's so doomed .
