Episode 2

The whole countdown gimmick was an interesting way to get the characters to tell their secrets. Some of them are silly though, but I wonder how it will all tie into the plot later on?

Feels like a very Trigger-ish show at this point.

I hope they cut down the comedy a bit. The Kiznaiver system is supposed to be the prominent aspect of the show but it feels like a game or something being played. At least the show is giving some moments for all the main characters. Yuta was priceless this episode.

I never realized how much i missed boom boom satellite music until now (shout out to Xamd Lost Memories opening!)

So I wasn't completely sold on ep 1 since it didn't really set the tone or even the genre of the anime. But ep 2 definitely picked things up. I feel like I finally at least understand the type of anime this is. I of course still don't understand what it's necessarily about or the end goal but that's fine. I'm still not completely sold on it but at the same time don't necessarily have any complaints about it or any real reason to stop watching.

I guess I do like the fact that all of their secrets weren't dragged out over multiple episodes but done in one go. From a pacing stand point that's very much appreciated

I liked how their secrets were all in this Trigger-style episode, including Maki's, which I expected to be dragged out later. Sonozaki being the game master is excluded for now, but we did get a hint that they were close in the past. Enjoying her deadpan character, along with Chidori.

It feels like the show would have been better off with a double episode première, but I'm still looking forward to what's in store next.

Liked that they characterized the characters, disliked the way. It feels like the gimmick of being bound is just for the convenience of the plot. That info at the end was actually well handled and made up for some of the poorly executed parts of the episode. Hopefully, the fact that they shared some secrets actually has an effect on the friendship and isn't just hollow.

Episode 2

I wasn't sure how I felt about this show at first, but now I'm sold. This episode was such a creative way to introduce each character to us without information dumping, I loved every minute of it. It was super fun up until Maki's shocking reveal at the end. I really wasn't expecting that.

What's Sonozaki's deal though. Seriously.

Definitely digging this one so far. I usually find the hyped shows of the season to be at least moderately disappointing so it's a bit of a surprise to me. My only concern is that once they get beyond the introductory phase and into the actual meat of the show it may start falling into the predictable boring action anime group on a mission tropes and leave the cool quirky stuff behind.

Episode 2: If You Can Swallow a Bizarre Situation Like This So Easily, Two Buckets of Barium Shouldn't Be a Problem

LOL those episode titles are ridiculous. Those types of titles would be hilarious on animes with long ass titles. Anyways I enjoyed the episode for what it presented.

Good characterization for the characters, while it did feel forced to have them just blurt out their secrets, they still made it enjoyable and we did learn a bit more about them. Although some of the secrets weren't that bad.

Oh shit Maki is a killer, EXECUTE HER, oops wrong anime. We got the confession in episode 2 though but the thing is can he or she follow up on that? Probably not.

Looking forward to what antics await us, hoping this won't be a 12 episode and rather a 2 cour. I feel like they can do a lot with this universe and not waste it in 12 episodes.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to drop this. If it would be a completely weird comedy maybe I would like it but what I've seen was just wrong. First they're forcing a group of teenagers to participate in an experiment that could easily kill them without giving them any chance to quit because it's for the good of all. Well at least they think it is, it's not like this is more then just an idea. And now they're getting tortured because they say the wrong things even though nobody has ever told them what kind of answer they should give? What kind of evil organisation is this?
I'll watch the next episode but I'm pretty sure it'll be the last one for me.

Not sure if I like where this is going. It's such an absurd concept to have built an entire city around.

The only real vibe I am getting is using pain to force conformity. Pretty sure this is how you breed a serial killer. I'll hang on for another episode or two, if only to see if one of them off's the blue hair girl with the switch.

So their first mission is to introduce themselves. Do it wrong, and you get electric shock punishment. Finally, after failing a couple times they do it the "right" way and tell each other the one thing they wouldn't want anyone to know about themselves. Maki turns out to be a killer. Will they go into that more later I wonder? I'd like to hear her explain a little more. What will their next mission be? I'm not sure where this show is going but I am enjoying it so far.

Reminds me a bit of the Kizu Random arc and overall feel of Kokoro Connect though not as good.

I'm very interested to see where Trigger goes with this concept. I see them laying down the groundwork to potentially go pretty deep into some ideas about true friendship, ideal societies, and the way our fears mold who we are. It's all going to boil down to the execution as to whether it flies or flops but given Trigger's track record I'm going to lay my money on fly.

For this episode I love how they blew up all the tropes we thought these characters fell into.
