so i am not sure why i am writing for post other than to hear other peoples opinions on this matter as its actually become a rather frustrating thing for me seeing as i love anime but like i have found that on several shows i watched lately i sat through the first season (occasionally the second season too) and loved every second of the experience but upon the start of following seasons all the excitement and interest seems to at once vanish leaving behind nothing but the will to just end it for completions sake granted as i have been watching a good amount of harem lately (that being one of my guilty pleasures) it could just be boredom with the premise but alas it got me thinking if anyone else out there had the same issue and how they try to combat it as like i stated i adore anime and enjoy a great show

Lucky you, I haven't watched anything in nearly two weeks that doesn't bore me within the first two episodes.

Watch Terraformars.....not as exciting as the first season bar the black bars. I think even earliest incarnation of the Power Rangers here in the States was more brutal compared to that and I am not as interested in the new season.

That's a sign of watching too much anime. Take a break for a season then see how you feel.

Which shows, in particular?

A few years ago, I found that I just could not stand to watch another harem anime. The whole premise became offensive to me because of the idiot protagonists, both the supposed 'main character' and the swarm of harpies that were supposed to be that idiot's romantic interests. The painful comedy, trite situations, and even the resolutions just became untenable.

I dealt with it by watching something else until either the harem shows improved, or I could stand their redundant tomfoolery again.

I did, I haven't watched anything since Monster Musume ended. And still nothing, there is literal boredom coming out of Japan these days. Nothing with the quality of Toradora, Is it wrong to try and pick up girls in a dungeon, or SAO.
