How do you deal with being nervous?
Posted 4/3/16
I'm curious... How do you guys deal with being nervous?

For example.

How would you deal with being nervous about getting a job?

I await your answers!

Ahhh to be honest, I pretty much just act like I don't care.

About getting a job though....

I'm not entirely sure how I'm gonna pull that off, but I'll think about that when I get there.

I don't really deal with it unless I have a panic attack... then I pop a pill.

Panic attacks suck, it feels like you are dying when you actually aren't.

Put on a mask and pretend I'm not nervous.

It works surprisingly well.

waiting for the interview is what makes me nervous. I usually don't get nervous once it starts.

so I don't really know, I just tell myself that it's not the end of the world whatever happens.

I'm more nervous about the interview process than the actual job usually lol That's my downfall for interviews. I have a pretty decent job now, but I still get anxious before I show up for my shift, which is weird. I'm an overthinker, so I feel nervous almost all the time about the dumbest shit. Especially when I start thinking about the future and about things I need to get done... I'm behind on some stuff for my age

I usually ignore it or procrastinate... watch anime, music, imagine outcomes of the situation that are realistic. Depends on the situation.

I typically try to calm myself but more often than not I just end up feeling like I'm gonna vomit. If I needed to calm down before an interview I would distract myself with random things but say someone I can have a serious conversation with is nearby I'll talk with them about it and that usually works..

I would do some preparations for the job interview the night before, and then do fun things to relax after that.

The wait before the interview is the most nerve-wracking. I try to put myself in the mindset of "whatever happens happens." Some Mozart also calms me down I find

In general, I slap myself and suck it up- I'm no cupcake! (Although sometimes a metaphorical slap in the face by another person helps if I can't snap out of it.)

I don't get nervous so often, but when it happens i take deep breaths and it helps me.

Fake it till you make it, as I always say. It's okay to show a little nervousness but don't let it break you down, we all bleed red, no one life is more than yours or vise versa. Smile and do you. That's what I do anyways.
