As someone who has ridden motorcycles my whole young life, I was excited for this show though I didn't really know what to expect.
After the first episode and ova, so far this is way better than expected.

Love all of the real actual brand and model names we've already seen.
I could see some of the motorcycle humor falling flat on the non-motorcycle crowd though.

BAKUON!! EP 1 / Club Registration!

This was my most wanted to see on my spring listNot only it was good adaptation from the manga this is just great animated . The Bike details / infro are so perfect!

This wiil be fun the girls personas come to life !

I really liked Lime( Ramiu) Kawasaki ( the color of the bike so cool ) gets to be featured more as she never speaks. She is super myserious with mad skills! Shw was one tep ahead of Onsa. Funny about the mattress!

Hane trying her hardest to learn to ride but is aloof ! Oh yea that was great the bike spoke to her.

Onsa stands out too from the manga just great showing her enthusiam

Rinn is highly charged about her Suzuki GSX400S Katana. but there is a baclstory about it!

Hijiri is just shown quickly

The homage to Shingo Kinjou / Yowamushi Pedal ( Sohoku High Bicycle Club./ CAPT ) was extra becuase of the staff / but a good idea using them ( 2-wheelers )

Shunichiro YOSHIHARA

OMG !!!!

I never expect to see the day an anime about girls and riding ,,,woohoo !!! I was cracking up a lot when the senpai showed her bike and lifted the bike .

Many years ago I learned to ride a scooter first and then a full motorbike. I actually had a 250 cc Kawasaki Ninja !!! which is the lightest in its class but I was only less than 105 lbs back then and there is a technique how to get that bike upright.. .I also owned a few Arai helmets. a riding boots, gloves and leather riding jacket
Needless to say I look badass in that bike

This anime is indeed near to my heart , I was smiling all througout this episode .

I am loving this show !!

and I couldnt help but notice our Yowamushi pedal cyclist

I guess we all know who are the sponsors of this anime

I...don't know what to make of this? Is the series about bikes or the girls obsessing about the bikes?

Probably the latter. Not sure if I want to keep up.

I have my MC license and I get all the antics going on. There was always debates / and races to dcicde things.

But that school reninded me of my test! I had to ride my bike to the Armory ( Nat'l Guard ) with another biker . The test was just was a breeze . Start it up ( You had to kick start / even with a starter) release the clutch smooth and take off smooth. Then The Instructor ( in truth a MV cop ) said to do the figure 8's between cones and he walked into the Bldg and came back out . I had switched back going the other way bea cause it was boring. I passed and he said you had already paseed just by making it there. Just had to go through the motions. I already had dirt bike and traded for a street bike.

woohoo !!!

well I started mine CM license with the scooter so the transistion was pretty easy although I did all the practice with the Kawazaki at a parking lot doing lots of circles and weaving around objects a friend rider just showed me the basics

correction I had a 250 cc Kawazaki I love that bike but I had a wipe out on some small pebblles as I made a leaning turn I just got bruised up but no joint injuries .The bike went in one dirrection as I glided the other direction towards the side of the rode.Thank godness I wasnt going too fast.
Eventually I fixed it and had to sell my Ninja

Anyway , I still have my CM1 license and take 2 exam every renewal exam , one for the car and one for the motorbike...
but I cant lift heavy bikes anymore so no more race bikes for me....

I actually wanted to buy a vespa similar to Gintoki's and ride it during the parade cosplaying as Gintoki

So this anime is just perfect for me brings back a lot of riding memories
Me and Senpai sure bonded

Okay, I am a serious motorcyclist and a collector of vintage bikes. The first scene where she gets on the bike with no gear, thought I would dislike it (and potentially will be an irk through the series if it keeps up) but I was laughing at really how authentic it was to matching the early days of riding.

The arguments, questions, reactions and such, all very much a "Yup, remember that" How they look at bikes, same thing. That first scene at the street light? That was the hook being set. Anybody who rides remembers doing something embarassing like that. The style, and technicals might bug me, but very quickly they appealed to the noob/hooligan in me and feelings of nostalgia

And yes, I have:

Episode 1

Guys, I'm surprised on just how much I liked this show. I like my CGDCT-esque shows having crude humor and a bit of an ecchi side and this fit the bill well:

I thought the episode was hilarious. I don't ride bikes myself, but I have brothers in my fraternity that do and I've listened to them multiple times talk about bikes and the funny thing is that this show pretty much nailed all the stereotypes that they cover! I couldn't believe it! Just like on the frizzy hair girl had such odd descriptions of why riding a bike is awesome, even though she knows the risks, and not being able to properly give a concrete answer, literally that is the conversation I had with my frat bros when I asked them why they like to bike! And then once they get going talking about the engine and all their other features, they just don't stop. And then the "forbidden brands", lol! The nerding out portrayed in this show, is completely accurate!

It's one of those things that only people who ride bikes will fully understand why bikes are great.

The characters I thought were all hilarious, like helmet girl. And blonde-hair girl is a babe, I'm going to have to have Demi give me pictures of her on the reg.

Can't wait for more and I hope it stays good. The biggest problem I can see with this show is if the concept grows too old and stagnate, hopefully the comedy and biker stereotypes stays fresh throughout.

EDIT: And how could I have forgotten JFK!?

Tiny error regarding the name of Onsa's bike...
I didn't know where else to post the correction.

It's alias is "Serow" not "Seron". Serow, named after the animal. Anyway maybe it was a typo or translator just didn't recognize the foreign word. Well I posted just incase it comes up again in another episode.

Ep 1

Enjoyed this a good bit more than I expected to (I'm not into bikes or cars or anything). The enthusiasm that the girls have for motorcycles is fun to watch, and I've already learned a thing or two. Even without knowing anything about bikes, I can certainly understand the "brand loyalty" and the arguments that ensued about their individual tastes and preferences. Onsa is my fav so far. Her hair is perfect and it already looks like she's going to get ignored by the other girls a lot. Good stuff.

Raimu is pretty much just Celty in disguise.
