I've tried, but I just can't do it. I'm usually not that much of a stickler for the visual quality of a show as long as it's a general style I don't mind, but this show just looks like ass. There might be something in the concept that has value so I might check in later on to see the impressions of it as it goes forward but I'm done for now.

Some how this show just reminded me from the movie "Dragon Heart" sharing half of a heart from a dragon to a human. Now this show the dragon and hiiro having the same making on their chest, so the dragon protected him from being in danger. Ok start but seems to be dragging down now, hope it picks up. Now the little dragon guy has a good humor, i'll give him credit tho lol.

So much for learning more about Dagan Zot. We get it - he's a scary dragon that everyone is afraid of. 2spooky4me .

Palupa is one redeeming point. Even the busty catgril Erin was something, but she was here and gone like that.

Based on the OP we have the heroine. Beat. Beat. Beat. Beat. Yuki. Yuki. Yuki. .

Can they just tell us the purpose of the link between Hiiro and Zot? I'm assuming it was to save his life given what happened to everyone else in the area. Zot did protect Hiiro which could make things interesting if he can control Zot. Oh god, it's Chaos Dragon 2. Noooooooo!!!!!

That was hilarious. XD

Hiiro is sort of an idiot and really naive, and everyone calls him out on it. The part with the slimes was really funny.
It's impressive he's spent ten years practicing the sword and he's still that bad at it.

Watched episode 1 on a whim, but overall I wasn't too impressed. I didn't play the mobile game it was based off of, but I instantly drew parallels with Dragon Heart in which
I also appreciate the unique world, a desert fantasy setting, which is different than many of the fantasy anime we've been seeing in the past year.

I hate the idea that we're becoming spoiled by beautiful animation with sometimes canned and repetitive stories, but this animation was kind of meh...

However I don't want to pass judgement too soon. I usually give most shows up till episode 3 or 4 before I decide one way or the other.

I tried powering through episode 2 but yeah, this show is aesthetically displeasing.

Gonna have to go with the flow here and say yea, that was kinda boring. I actually fell asleep halfway thru, had to skip back about 5 minutes, not sure it was worth it.

Dropped this one. I tried to give it a second chance with episode 2 but couldn't do it. The first thing that got me was how horrible the animation is. The weapons especially look bad. Just big and blocky like a really bad mmo. The opening scene on episode 1 should have clued me in when all you see are a bunch of really generic helmets. The swords themselves aren't even shiny. They look like big paper cutouts that some kid drew and crayoned in. The animation just continues to go downhill from there.

And then we get to the characters and plot. It seems like the show is just trying really hard...too hard to be cool. It tries so hard that it starts to become a mockery of itself. I don't mind dark and gritty but I don't like having it forced on me either. Show me with the story instead of beating me over the head with it ala Zack Snyder style. Just not my cup of tea I guess. It's a shame because I was really looking forward to this one. I love a good fantasy anime. Unfortunately this one is not.

Ep 2

Don't get me wrong, I hardly think it's great, but I'm probably enjoying it more than most, strangely enough. Animation is occasionally wonky, and the characters aren't too interesting... hell, the action wasn't great either, but I still don't dislike the show yet. Probably because I like fantasy and cute girls (like what's her face at the end). I'm really hoping that her introduction speeds things along though. The show could use a little excitement, among other things.

Hey, it beats walking.

Episode 3

That girls is Saraato and she's a white mage of sorts healing Hiiro's wonds like that. So Hiiro gets his first big payday by taking down a giant wolf, but then he gets thrown into the cellar to be shipped off to some mine to work as a slave while trying to save someone from that fate. And in comes a kid stealing the ledger that could be used to turn in those corrupt noblemen and instead, they agreed to release the prisoners and workers from the mine. I was sleeping with my eyes open just like Saraato says she did when getting attacked by the wolf. So since I made it through three episodes that I'm finished with this snoozefest.

I watched the latest episode and then I realized so far, almost nothing happened besides reaffirming the MC's goal again while introducing that new mysterious girl (Saraato). I wonder if the story is going to suck this bad all the way so going to keep watching it see how far it goes.

A mysterious girl show up that really like the MC and acts very odd. Then some other stuff happens.

I think I'm enjoying the side chars more than the MC!

I actually like the old world style. Reminds me of shows like Guin Saga.

I like this show. Its fun.

But what I hate is............ the female lead's aesthetic. I serious saw her walking around and was like, "Yeul, is that you?" More than a replication of Yeul from Final Fantasy 13-2, even in the eyes and walk. And with his sword type and personality, as well as being the last of his line, I was like, "Noel, is that you?" lmao
