What?! The Smiths are incredible! I know their songs are kinda dreary but they're still amazing.

You don't like The Smiths?! Is it by chance because you're turned off by Morrissey's very candid, bold & sometimes unpleasant personality? What are some other bands of that era or with sonic similarities you enjoy?

Agreed 10000%. The first few Morrissey albums are nearly as impeccable as well.

Personally I just dont like Jangle pop. Dont like the sound of it. I prefer my music to be much harsher or weirder.

Big Black is one of those sorta hit or wildly miss bands for me. I like their second album, but I wouldn't return to any of their other records.
