Anime that uses the cliche battle/magic school setting. There's at least two of them a season

Lolis. I like Gothlolis but not the "normal" ones. It doesn't matter if we're talking about half naked childern or just the normal oh-so-cute elementary school student, there's like a 90% chance I won't like them.

Like almost everybody, I hate too much fanservice (it should make sense at least).

Extremely (mentally) weak characters (in general, Anime or not).

And my biggest Anime-problem; the dumb characters. It's actually a general problem but it's even worse in Animes.

Not sure if hate is the exact word I'd use, but I always roll my eyes when a character begins to explain something, closes their eyes, and gives a lengthy description. All the while, the intended listener(s) just walks away. I'm just imagining how awkward it would be to try doing that in real life.

I know what you mean (´-ω-`) makes me feel the same way ahah. Great comment btw!

I'm a minority among my friends on this, but I tend to dislike excessive fanservice. It's one of the reasons I prefer the original, unpolished version of Histories Strongest Disciple to the modern series. Ecchi for ecchi's sake isn't for me.

I have developed an intense dislike of series that start as action or adventure, and somehow devolve into romance... usually, for some reason, harem. I have nothing against a romance that develops within a show. Just don't derail the genre to focus on it.

Great text, very interesting thank you for sharing <3

Poorly written characters who

- have no development throughout the series.
- have no backstories or very stupid backstories that I don't care about.
- have no personality, annoying personalities, or just such terrible personalities that I would want to see them die.

I don't mean characters who fit just one of those. I'm talking about characters who fit all 3. That's pretty much the majority of tsunderes...

It's possible for me to like a character even if they only have one quality that counters one of the 3 things I mentioned. For example, Saitama has a nice personality so it's fun watching him steamroll through every enemy. Also, Saitama was the first character I thought of just now since the OP himself is Saitama.

Ahahah yeah i know what you mean In my opinion saitama is diffrent as he doesn't take his hero work very seriously and beats monsters like swatting insects. Since his superhero work has begun to bore him, he is constantly searching for an opponent that can challenge him. Therefor, in my opinion the lack of any such opponents has led him to suffer from an existential crisis... Maybe we will see him begin to change in season 2. <3 Great text thanks for letting me read it!

- Forced dark themes in an attempt at being more 'mature' (rape, cheating, abuse, torture, etc)
- Excessive showing or detail of dark themes.
- Having potential same-sex relationships but never bothering to explore them.
- Female characters being reduced to over-the-top fan service spots (i.e. Seri Awashima-everything after the original K series)
- Any kind of harem situation.
- Attacks/insults a certain ideology.

Bad artwork, fillers, and fan service that seems forced.

I really really dislike characters that are mean or even borderline abusive. And I'm not talking about a Tsundere or anything like that who punches the mc for accidentally seeing her naked or seems a bit stand offish or mean at first due to their nature and life's events. I'm talking about those characters that just constantly belittle other characters, never offer any kind of praise and even beat on them to the point where it's just not funny and seems way too abusive. But hey, it's okay because they really like them. The show says so even if their actions don't. Shakugan No Shana's Shana is a good example of how to do this properly. She smacks Yuji around a lot in the beginning. Usually after he accidentally makes her feel uncomfortable or sees her while she's changing clothes or something but she slowly warms up and learns to deal with her emotions and becomes a very strong character in the end. She shows a lot of character growth over the series. Some series just don't have any redeeming qualities to some of their characters who never grow and never give us a reason to like them. Saying they're a good guy isn't enough. Show me, don't tell me!

And back to my list:
Really bad cliché's and characters who stick to their cliché's without ever growing, forced plot points, recap episodes (unless they add something new) and panda's. Just kidding, panda bears are super cute. :D

- 1D characters with no depth or adds nothing to the story / Forced characters (The author tries to hard to make the characters retable)
- MOE or harems
- Oni-chan crap (Please stop)
- Cliche tropes
- Isn't consistent (I'm not gonna wait until 12 episodes for it to get good) / Poor storyboard planning
- Awkward / Terrible frame transition
- TO BE CONTINUED... or anime adaptions cutting the story too short
- When my ship doesn't get together (jk)
- WHEN PLOT HOLES GET INTRODUCED (tilts me so hard)

I was thinking something very much along those lines the other day about that show. It's still not quite as bad as the dumb crowds you see in things like One Punch Man and Space Brothers.

"Serika is the greatest!" "I heard that she's taking bribes and probably punches babies RIGHT IN THEIR FAT FACES! Here's a picture of the event that is being misconstrued!" "What?! Serika is evil! Murder Serika! Murder her family!"

"Wow! Saitama's really strong!" "Dude, he can't do anything. He's just an E class." "But I just saw him punch right through that huge monster!" "Dude! It's all an illusion! Smoke and mirrors, man! They just WANT you to think that he's strong, so The Man can make the SS look bad!" "Dude, you might be right. I can't believe I almost fell for it, dude. Thanks."

Any show that takes half an episode in the first few episodes to exposition dump for its premise. If they can't pull off an introduction that flows with the introduction of the characters, the rest of the show is probably going to be just a dull.

Also, any show where protag-kun accidentally stumbles upon the resident tsundere in a compromising position gets -50dkp. I'm really tired of boilerplate harems.

The kind of character that's a good guy but acts like he doesn't care about anyone else.

I hate it when an important event (like the death of a character) occurs just before the credits.
