It met all my expectations but I don't really care about which studio is doing it as a fan of the manga I'm just ecstatic to see it animated and if it keeps to this level then I'll be satisfied.

All in all, this show has potential and more than enough episodes to convey its plot. If it focuses on action and fanservice over story, then it's not going to be that good. If it can somehow execute the idea of destiny and give that villai characterization, then it'll get way better. This is only the first episode so I can't say much (even though I did), but from the shows I've watched so far, this tied for my second lowest of the season. None of this is permanent so take my critiques with a grain of salt until the first few episodes are out. Also, it's obviously not the worst this season. I've only seen like 4 other series this season...

You've got some valid points on the negative side, although some of them are anime specific. I can address a few points if you want

Yeah, seeing as I'm anime only 99% of the time, I wouldn't know any of this. Though I was critiquing the anime as an anime so I wouldn't know what to really expect from the manga. Good to know these problems aren't in the manga though

The Manga has been a lot of fun and is the main reason I'm excited for this series. Viz has been releasing it in english so you should beable to find it if you want. They covered most of chapter 1 with this episode and as mentioned added quite a bit of stuff.

Rokuro and Benio really are the heart of the series. They are both very stubborn people and they can get stuck in this cycle of one-upsmanship that often leads them to unexpected places. Personaly I like their day to day stuff more than the Fight stories, but ultimately this is a Fight series.

Both are marked by tradgedy. For Benio it's what motivates her, for Rokuro it's what stopped him dead in his tracks. Benio is a big part of what gets him moving again along with the discovery that they are more connected to each other than they realize.

Episode 1: The Destined Two - Boy Meets Girl

Ohhh that was pretty, the action was entertaining and the animation is pretty well done. I like those little finishing move cards where the text shows up on the screen before the move happens. Those are always fun.

I like the characters so far, Rokuro has a legit reason as to why he stopped being an exorcist which was understandable. And it looks like Benio has this strong motivation but it's not revealed why she is motivated that much. Lots of room for development.

The enemies or Karage? Like the chicken? Whatever, those little ugly things, are creepy af. It's like Schwarzesmarken all over again with creepy ass monsters.

Anyways I liked the first episode, looking forward to see how they both develop and where it takes them.

While not really a fan of the art style, I like the general visual style the show has quite a bit with things like how they did the character name plates. A decent start to a series that I didn't have too much hope for based purely on the pre release summary. Not sure yet if it will hold my interest for a whole season but I'll definitely give it at least an episode or three more. As usual, though, the MC is super annoying and falls into pretty much all of the regular tropes. If anything ruins the show complete for me, it just might be him.

Quite a bit of action for a first episode which was nice - get right into the thick of things. Saw lots of HS DxD and One Punch Man jokes in the video comments .

Haven't read the manga yet, but I think the anime's art style could grow on me. I suppose when they go to Bagano the art is meant to be dull, although I'm not sure that is the correct word I want to use. Bleak, maybe?

One of the more engaging first episodes I've watched this season in terms of getting straight to the point.

For those who are curious, the author's previous series is Bimbogami ga (AKA: Good Luck Girl) which you can watch over on Funimation.

Hmmm the animation is better than I expected... considering it's an evening anime done by Studio Pierrot. Though it's just the 1st episode so we'll see.

I remember reading the first chapter of the manga as a preview in Shonen Jump and it seems they changed a few scenes. I don't remember that green haired chick. Overall plot progression is the same for now.

Pretty good start really.

Everybody likes / dislikes certain studios for mae valid reasons or just preference I like the action scenes and the title inserts comic book style like Kill La Kill did

Now except for Osomatsu-san ( Onigiri coming soon ) I have watched all these anime .Baby Steps was really good animation. Sometimes The Studio takes heat for who the Production CMT as for A director / Script etc. Yes they have not done as much in the 2010's but stiil an impreesive list What do you dislike maybe I missed something? Just wondering because I liked these shows

I got bored halfway through the first episode. I liked the animation though, so I'll stick with it and see what happens.
