Transracialism is one of those terms that doesn't make sense (to me) because you are not that race no matter how much you think you are. Race is someone who is born in the group, who has the facial features (of that group) and has been raised by the culture. I like to define race by what ethnicity you are, not what you feel. I feel like they are trying to put race on the same level as gender and it isn't. They are two completely different things.

Shhhhhhhh. You're using common sense and everyone knows that's forbidden on the internet.

But seriously this is just more of this "feelings" bullshit that people are getting obsessed with.

"I feel like a girl so I am one" "I feel offended by this so it's bad" "I feel like doing this so I should be allowed to regardless how the consequences to myself and even others"

People are putting feeling above order and reason and are ignoring facts for the sake of it. You don't become something you're not just by saying you are it.

I'm not saying I'm against people living how they wish but it needs to be within reason. If you are a man who likes feminine things then fine but don't then just pretend you are one and ignore the fact you have a male body! If you are a black woman who wants to act more like say ... a Japanese woman then fine. That doesn't make you a freaking Japanese woman though! If you "feel" like a damn cat then fine be a crazy nut case! But you still aren't a cat!!!

You can feel whatever you want but people need to wake up to reality and accept it. Not everything will work out according to your feelings and sometimes you just need to adapt accordingly. The world isn't obligated to conform to your feelings and standards any more than it is to mine.

HOWEVER..... isn't that article like a year old? I still haven't heard this term before so is this wide spread at all or is it just a small group of idiots who actually think you can decide what race you are.

If there is legitimate science to back up this then I will accept it.

But unlike Transexualism this has no science behind it.

So nothing to see but crazy here folks

Transgender studies is a two decade old research project. There are very few definitive conclusions that have currently been made. Its existence is non-debatable at this point.

However, is current transitioning a sufficient prospect? No. People accept it anyway. This is much better than how we handled homosexuality in the 60-80's, but to stand behind it as if the research behind it is complete is ridiculous.

Species dysphoria and racial dysphoria, as well have gender dysphoria, have been documented and described in works of literature over hundreds of years old. Neither of them are new prospects designed to play on the idea of transgender. Accepting one over a few decades of research and disregarding others that didn't become popularized is hypocritical and idiotic. I'm too tired to play with your 'battle with assertions' type of argumentation, so consider this as likely to be the last post in response to you.

Fair enough reasoning.

no one said the research was complete by the way you just assumed I meant that.

If racial dysphoria does exist I never knew till today and if it isn't just someone being insane but a mental illness or disorder then I think people should accept that they feel that way

If you ever watched Lars and the Real Girl, the fact that they aren't women or men isn't the point. It is sometimes healthier to nurse the delusion, to be bluepilled, versus taking the red pill in the Matrix trilogy. Psychology is generally against forcing people to conform to a separate gender identity. Although I agree, acceptance isn't something you force.

In a scientific context? Literature has been describing quite a few things over the past, but that doesn't validate them on being as "healthy" and able to lead a fulfilling life. Modern psychology didn't begin to take off after much of the foundations were laid centuries ago.

Back on topic, it is actually fairly more complicated than you'd think.

Does appear to have some validity, but I don't really care. I hate race idolization though. Too many Asians going after white people. It's disgusting.

What's next though. Transreligion? Transnational? Transtrans?

Seriously though. Race is race. I get offended when a white person calls themselves black. You are just not.
