I can just picture the goofiness of a pet training anime. Pets all tend to have minds and "devious" personalities of their own. It makes me wonder who is actually training who.

I knew this was gonna be here! Half the reason I didn't watch this show for the longest time was cause of the premise of the show

tbh I can't really agree with the main idea of this thread.

Postal Service. An anime about the mail man is lame. Yet an anime about the mail man delivering packages that require him or her to go on an adventure is much better.

A slice of life anime about a (bishoujo, ofc) letter carrier, in which nothing unusual or extraordinary happens, sounds more like a stereotypical anime than one where the letter carrier has an adventure.

It doesn't have to be stereotypical.

Probably should have just said typical. Though it seems like violence is making a comeback lol

In fact, I think that the slice of life genre is pretty unique to anime.
I can't say about other regions, but I'm sure it would not fly as a genre in American media.

Ever hear of Tegami Bachi (Letter Bee in English)? It's basically that, except it's set in a fantasy world with giant bugs and guns powered by emotion.
