I really like the flow of this anime hoping nothing dramatic happens with Grandma being on the scene she has nice qualities and I think she might have regrets and be lonely?

Shonen Maid EP 10 / "No Heat or Cold Lasts Beyond the Equinox"

With some shows ending and looking to watch something try this one / some good reviews ( brief)

Shounen Maid – 10 / Lost in Anime / Guardian Enzo

It’s straight-up criminal how few people seem to realize just how great Shounen Maid is (most of them because they refuse to watch it, of course). There’s so much depth of emotion here that puts the vast majority of anime to shame.

ANIME NEWS NETWORK / Shonen Maid Episode 10 by Amy McNulty

Deftly fluctuating between pure comedy and comedy-drama, Shonen Maid is at the top of its game this week. Even with the threat of Granny Takatori looming, the show manages to serve up a generous helping of laughs, peppered with just the right amount of cuteness and light drama to balance things out. If its remaining two episodes are able to continue in this vein, Shōnen Maid is set to finish strong.

With so much of the plot involving Chihiro's deceased parents, it's natural to think this week's Shonen Maid would be a downer, but the proceedings are mostly bittersweet—and at times, outright irreverent. The first story is superfluous, but the same can be said for some of the show's funniest segments. Kazusa's “big reveal” doesn't come as a shock to anyone but Chihiro, but it's good to see the overarching plot come to a head. Even if it mostly serves as a lead-in to the grand finale, this is still one of Shōnen Maid's better episodes. Rating: A

This has become my 3rd anime of the season. The animation was crisp and well done!

BTW before I watched this EP I watched EP 5 Dubbed and hearng Madoka / Chiyo shows the often overlooked close relationship those 2 had.

I knew what was coming but darn I was ROFL with Madoka answer to his cat allegries . But despite Chihiro scolding Madoka Chihiro was happy he could do a big cleaning. Keiichiro again has to find homes for the kittens Maduka found.

In a nice touch Chihiro with help from Miyako they hang out the launfry to dry.

The upcoming visit to Chiyo's grave invovled making botamochi which was new for Chi but also leting Madoka help !

While getting the botamochi supplies Chi sees Kazusa trying to get close to a stray cat by luring with cat food but Kazusa scares it away.

Oh the train ride Madoka gets along with everybody then Chi / Madiko trade sweets with the girl.

Then the whole grave segment the truth about Chi's dad who died not long after his birth ( Chi is pretty strong after all that has happened) . So I am glad Chi's dad seemed like a good ( shy ) man .

Now to Kazusa who shows up / Madoka doesnt get along with her , Chi is shocked but reflected about her in a way not expected.

There were some ominous statements by Madoka in The PV

Chi scolding Madoka

Chi / Madoka make quick friends on the train even trading sweets

The reveal about Chi's dad

The truth comes out about Kazusa

Episode 11

Madoka doesn't exactly see eye-to-eye with his mother, and seeing her unexpectedly show up at Chiyo's grave got him down, and Chihiro is also down as well. Yuji decides to have a flower viewing party at the mansion with a cherry blossom tree courtesy of his family with all of his friends and family. That cheered up Chihiro, and after a serious talk, Madoka comes out. And the new school year begins with Chihiro now in 6th grade. That was another heartwarming episode there and it goes to show that while family relationships aren't always going to be ideal, there will always be love.

The Hino family sure knows how to throw a flower viewing party in this situation. Ambitious indeed.

Shonen Maid EP 11 / Boys, Be Ambitious

Ths EP jusdt starts out so strong you can sense it. In fact I am going to say this anime remind me of Summer Wars (movie ) which I consider one of the best family animes Again the most underrated anime of the year.

Madoka has a dream when him and Chiyo were young and he had a fever and Kazusa tells Chiyo to go back to the party You cans sense the tension back then

Chihiro is out of it at school Hino ?? him and he tella about his grasndmothert. Hino is then ? by two girls for another who is worried about Chihro . ( A GF/ Nomura ?)

Hino sends Ryuji over to the mansion but both Chihiro and Madoka say they are too busy.

Hino sends Miyako over the duo lt stay for awhile but they both too much talk. So she goes back again to het them to view Cherry Blossoms anc Chihiro ias good at avoiding the suggestion . Miyako was funny even saying I will bring over a potted Cherry tree. Miyako tells Chihiro that they are woorrried about them

Eventually Chihiro says OK and Hino ( classmates / The Uchoten boys / Keiichiro even the Potted Cherry tree but wait Hino's dad brings a huge cherry tree over on his truck.

Keiichiro was the one who told Kazusa where Chiyo's grave was . That is a pretty drastic measure by Madoka who never told her.Keiichiro tells Chihiro they have been not on good terms since since a child .Chihiro femake classmates come over and more shocked to see Chi in
the maid uniform than the Uchoten Boys

Eventually Chi goes to see Madoka to tell him to come down and says he made Rolles Omelots Madoka says I guess I am the only one sulking. The adults are into the Saje and a card game for the others.

Later Madoka is lying down after the sake and Chi explains how at one time he was going to tell Chiyo's parents off but kinda forgot about it.And Chi says befire he knew Kazusa was his grandma he wished she woukd be like that But Madoka still is cold. But later on he has the dream and it is Kazusa taking care of him and is having thoughts asbout her getting older.

The final segment is That Chi is in sixth grade.

Chi has a future GF ?

Everybody cares about Chi / Madoka

Kazusa seems to care for Madoka. when he was young

The picnic party was nice. I have just one question. How do you fit a mature tree, roots and all in such a small pot/bag?

Where I live the street is lined with ornamental cherry trees so we have a pink time too every spring complete with pink "snow" when the wind blows. That time and autumn is the most beautiful time on the street.

Episode 12 (Finale)

Madoka is overworking himself once again seeing that he's making so many wedding dresses. Chihiro tries to make sure that he's eating properly and getting rest, but that's not happening. In the end, he made it through and there's an evil spirit in the mansion. But it turns out to be his mother as a little girl just coming down to check on him. Chihiro sure did make his mother proud there at the end, and as the episode title implies, all is well. That was nice, and Chiyo looked really cute as a girl there. It all ends with reflections.

There's no question that Chihiro has made his mother a happy ghost.

Final Thoughts

Coming into this show, I was expecting it to be heavy on the fujoshi bait, but thankfully that never came to be. This show is heartwarming and a nice way to kick back and relax. The show does a great job in balancing comedy with relationship building, and the characters are what made this show go. The characters are a fun bunch and it was great to see everybody building up their relationships as friends and relatives. The biggest problems with this show are that the jokes tend to get repetitive and stale, the show has the tendency to be dull in stretches, and the show's overall plot was lacking in a way. But in the end, the show was all sorts of feel-good coming out of it, and of the kind that makes my day like with Flying Witch.

Grade: B- (low 8/10)

Meh it was okay. Some episodes I find boring while others kept me interested. I did like how they reflected back all the events in the end though like a sort of life journey for Chihiro. Average show in my book.

Shonen Maid EP 12 / "All's Well That Ends Well"

Chi's mom when young! He see Granny trying to be friends with the white cat and they have a chat about Madoka but Chi wanted to ask abut their realationship and even his mom's

Madoka finally gets done but Chi finds him working on another wedding drees ( his mom ) BTW Chi finaaly realiases that the girl ( in his dream ) was his mom. who just wants to hear how he is doing! Very nice / One thing granny is unresolved!

Madoka's work and attention to detail makes everybody feel special when wearing their dress

Also CHI wanted to ask his grandmom about his mom but did get some answers about Madoka

Chi's mom in this episode was quite nice!

BTW / I like when an anime says thanks / not done as often nowadays

As the series goes just great / but I also felt there were a couple of loose ends but CHI's dream about his mom was a huge point in the final
