Watching Jojo a certain pattern starts to emerge with Man's best friend. Like you know how the first episode ends with him having a dog kicked in the face and then set on fire? and it just snowballs from there.

Like seriously does anyone know why he's so fond of killing dogs? Did he have a bad experience with one as a kid or something?

No. He's said sometime in the past that killing animals makes a villain really detestable to the audience even moreso than killing people. And it seems to me that he's on to something.

I think it's a well-known fact that the fastest way to establish a villain is to kill a dog. People love dogs, for some inexplicable reason.

Yeah, exactly. Araki is a master of the technique of "Kick the Dog".
