I ask as i don't want it to renew and take my money when the trail expires as it won't let me cancel yet.

Wait a day or possibly two, then you can cancel after it completes your CC verification. However, it will also immediately stop your free trial at the time you cancel.

Also, if you decide to wait out to get the full length your free trial, then do not wait until the last day to cancel, leave a day or so error room, just in case their calendar doesn't match yours...

Remember, the terms here are that it is giving you a trial subscription period, not simply two free weeks. You are signed up unless you cancel before the trial period ends.

As asharka obliquely alluded to, the system frequently jumps the gun and decides a charge is "Pending" then refuses to let you cancel* - be sure to cancel a couple of days early if you decide not to continue. Also, and this is important: Take screen shots of any confirmations you get, and save them for a month or two just in case**.

* - Despite their advertising otherwise, your only relatively-safe bets are days 3-12 of the trial. If you immediately decide you don't want to continue, you're not allowed to cancel because they want to verify your billing information (which makes no sense, because if you cancel they're not supposed to bill you). And if you wait until the last day, it's likely to be "Pending".

** - The system also frequently appears to let you cancel, but doesn't save it that way. Then when you get charged, customer support is likely to tell you (especially if it's in private correspondence rather than in public) that you didn't cancel, and since you can't prove it with a copy of the email or PM that the system didn't send you, they won't refund it.
