Bloody useless moralists the whole lot of you. Spend one fucking day in the combat zones of the Middle East then you can talk about homicidal thoughts and the morality behind them . There are monsters out there who don't deserve to be breathing one second longer, and they will kill you given half the chance. Deny it all you want, live in your delusions of safety. But how many times do they have to kill our brothers and sisters, how many times do they have to leave the bodies of innocents in our streets before you realise there is only one valid course of action?

I see. So people who think about killing should be killed?

Take a look around you mate, they haven't just thought about killing, they have killed. And more then once. Go ahead and mock me if it makes you feel better but even a useless pacifist like yourself can't deny the amount of death on our own streets by the hands of terrorists. If somebody wants bring war to our shores I will gladly kill them, and sleep easy afterwards.

If that makes me a murderer in your eyes so be it. At least I did something about the problem, not just act like a snarky prepubescent teen about it like your doing now.

Ah. So you think only terrorists have homicidal thoughts? This is a thread about people with homicidal thoughts in general after all. Also calm down, I'm not attacking you.

If they're regularly thinking about murdering innocent people, they need to see a psychiatrist ASAP.

Everyone wants to strangle an annoying person in their life every now and then, it;s those that act on it that are a problem.

I don't know about that. I say there is a different in wanting to strangle some annoying person and brutally murdering someone that is plain innocent. Just what I think though.

I'd say it's fairly black and white, reasons don't make it any more or less worse. Killing a child molester is no different than killing your next door neighbor because you thought she was cute.

This topic highlights "self-domestication versus instinct."

I hold no grand illusions of humans being gentile creatures, and certainly don't expect saints. I don't see moralistic purity in other animals, and feel it is an unreasonable standard to expect of us. Therefore, "thinking of killing" is something I don't mind, as I know full-well that such things are often instinctual. I try not to divulge in the horrors of thought-policing.

Depends how serious these thoughts are. I'm sure plenty of average people have been pissed off to the point where they've had homicidal thoughts. Obviously the average person won't act on them, because the average person has self-control. Plenty of people have screwed up thoughts that they would never act upon, because people have a thing called a conscience, and self-restraint.
