If the title doesn't make sense, I want to see if there are other people out there that have shows they want to watch but because they know the premise is off-putting in some way they still haven't talked themselves into watching it. For me that is Plastic Memories, I know what the premise is and there is no way this anime isn't depressing, so while I really want to watch it I have held off because I don't want to deal with the emotions of the show.

I cant say that I do that, although there have been times where in the middle of a really good series I will just completely stop watching for no reason at all(maybe subconsciously don't want it to end?) and start another show although I haven't done that in a long time.

By the way definitely take the the plunge and watch plastic memories. You will cry, quite possibly even tear up in the very first episode like I did. In a weird way I love watching anime that have sad depressing moments that are cry worthy and put me in a depression for a day or two. Just something about finishing a series that moved me to tears always leaves me with a strange satisfying/sad void if that makes any sense Im sure there are others out there that know what I mean.

I would love to watch saint seiya but I will never watch it because I cannot for the life of me find that cheesy as hell old dub that had morherfucking flock of seaguls for the theme song.

For me, there's a lot of over-hyped shows I want to watch but I get put off by the fandom.

Good examples of this is, Tokyo Ghoul, one of the few to name.

Bakemonogatari, tried twice to get into it at many peoples recommendations & still can barely make it past the first episode. That light, purple haired bitch with all the sharp objects hidden up her skirt is such a horrible person who completely takes advantage of the male MC who himself is the very definition of a herbivorous male, gets walked all over by her and treated like dogshit after saving her ungrateful life but still he helps her. Others have tried to tell me that she is a Tsundere but she is taken to such an extreme that she easily flies past past being just Tsun into being abusive territory, if the roles were switched almost everyone would be just as outraged as me imo; and I can't stand to watch however many episodes it takes of her being an ungrateful abusive cunt before she shows her dere side and all is forgiven.

Well she does have reasons to be that way, once you see more of the setting and her past. It's not like shes a tsundere to fit a steretype.
You'll definetely like her by the second episode though.

For me, Tokyo Ghoul. I'm sure it's a great series, but nah.
