*I'm not sure if this is the right section to post in, but here goes... Also if you've got other ideas feel free to pm me.*

Kirito (Sword Art Online) vs. Zoro (One Piece).

Kirito is able to duel wield his swords and Zoro uses 3 swords style Santoryu so it's fairly even in that aspect.

Kirito duel wielding:

Zoro's Santoryu:

But who would win?

If Kirito can dodge bullets from guns at less than 10m range, or deflect bullets using swords, that's pretty insane.

At the same time Zoro is a haki user, and has many sword techniques like 108 pound phoenix, which is a ranged attack.

Both are extremely tough characters, and have a high pain threshold.
Here are a couple of examples:

Kirito:

SAO1

After finding out that the leader of the Blood Oath is actually Kayaba, the man who trapped thousands of players for 2 years in a deadly VRMMO, Kirito refuses to back out of the offer to duel. Kayaba ends up stabbing Kirito with a sword, and just before Kirito is close to dying, Kirito gathers enough strength to also kill Kayaba. Kirito is then seen above the clouds in a beautiful place, and is unsure if he's in heaven. Kayaba tells Kirito he has won the game. Kirito wakes up into reality for the first time in 2 years.

SAO2

After finding out Asuna has not woken up into reality, Kirito travels into another game called Alfheim online (ALO). There he ends up taking down another evil dude King Oberon (Sugou Nobuyuki, chief of research at RECT. Inc.) to be able to rescue her and thwart Sugou's plans to marry Asuna as well as take over the world. Again Kirito gets stabbed by a sword, but endures the pain.

Zoro:

Many years ago before Zoro joined Luffy's crew he was starving to death tied up. Very much shows his endurance and ability to endure pain.

My memory is a little hazy, but pretty sure this happened during Thriller Bark. Zoro ends up making a deal with the warlord Bartholomew Kuma. All he has to do is endure the pain that Luffy, etc. have received. Surprisingly Zoro is still standing tall, and when Sanji asks him what happened, Zoro says, "nothing".

Now I shall look upon their motivation.

Kirito is motivated to stay alive during those 2 years trapped in SAO to eventually see his family again as well as save Asuna, a woman he eventually fell in love with.

Zoro on the other hand, is motivated to be the greatest swordsman alive by one day defeating Dracule Mihawk.

If both got in a duel it would definitely be a hard fought battle. I'm not even sure who'd win, but they are both strong.
So who do you think would win in a duel? DISCUSS.

How is this even a question?

Zoro isn't playing a video game.

Yes I know, but let's just say both got into a fight. If Kirito's gamer self could defeat Zoro. I'm talking abilities as swordsmen.

Sorry, I figured but just couldn't help myself.

Personally I don't think Zoro would even have to use Haki, considering the amount of training and experience he has over Kirito.

Hell no. Zoro EASILY defeats Kirito in agility, power, endurance and technique. It wouldn't even be a fight.

You don't know One Piece well enough, and that's why you thought this was even a question.

Zoro would win through pure power alone. This is a guy who cut straight through a stone giant whose hand was the size of a small town without really straining himself too much.

ZORO kicks his ass. I don't think anyone in manga/anime but maybe a few Bleach characters and Hawk eye can beat him in a Sword fight. Also Guts.

Why? Because he is better at everything that Kirito is good at. Shit he loses to little girls in real life and in the game.

Makes sense. Here's one of my favorite pics:

Also Kirito has experience too... as he was a beta tester and had a huge advantage over a majority of players. And also Kirito already had experience clearing levels, and fighting bosses.

Ok it´s impossible to ignore the fact that Kirito just plays videogames, he´s not a real swordsman. In real life Zoro would kill Kirito with one blow. Hell, any anime character can kill Kirito in one blow in real life.

But let´s imagine that Zoro enters SAO or any game in which Kirito is playing, that´s when it gets interesting. But still, Kirito doesn´t stand a chance against Zoro. The Santoryuu is a way more powerful fighting style than your typical dual blade style of RPGs, and it has a very varied moveset that Zoro has displayed throughout the series. And also you have to consider that Zoro was trained by the strongest swordsman in the world of One Piece, Mihawk, while Kirito did everything by himself without anybody´s help, and he got killed in SAO. Yes, I know that because of plot armor he survived, but it doesn´t change the fact the he and Asuna were both literally killed in the game.

Another point is that Zoro has endured a lot more pain than Kirito, which means Zoro can take a lot more suffering than Kirito and is able to fight for much longer periods of time, and those are huge advantages in a duel. In the end, Zoro is clearly the winner.

Finally, here´s some propaganda for Berserk, because why not.

I do know One Piece well enough. I've watched all the episodes.

Also what if Kirito was using Exalibur the strongest sword in ALO?

I'm sure that sword could cut through lots of things.

As much as I know virtually nothing about One Piece, and as much as I like SAO and Kirito, I wouldn't put him up there with the best anime swordsmen, so I'd make an educated guess at Zoro winning.

You must have forgot ZORO would be long died if Haweye wanted to kill him. But yah... This is pointless -_-

Edit: How is a boy going to beat a grown man MASTER Swords man? Kenshin can beat Kiroto in under a min and ZORO beats him.

Yep good think Mihawk kept him alive. Zoro's definitely proving his strength now.

Zoro wouldn't even need his swords to beat Kirito. He could break that little hikikomori in half with his bare hands.
