is this really a question? zoro can slice a super giant and he owned the hell out of an 8-swords user

all he has to do is use the sword breaking barrier or asura and kirito is done

actually, considering how kirito's sword broke on kayaba's shield, zoro can shatter kirito's swords with a swing of his haki blades

zoro is also the right hand man of luffy who dodged bullets since forever ago and can now dodge lasers which are "slow..." as commented from him

He owned an 8 sword user early on in the series... excuse my lack of having good remembering skills but it was against that octopus dude at Arlong Park? To have 8 swords and still lose I think the octopus had no skill whatsoever.

I'm not too sure but Kirito didn't have the greatest sword at that point when fighting Kayaba for the first time. Now he has Excalibur. So lets say Kirito fights Zoro with Excalibur which is like the equivalent of Mihawk's black blade. I don't the haki could shatter Kirito's sword then.

I'm all for Kirito winning. Not even death stopped him from achieving victory before and he only loses when he doeasn't take the fight seriously. So, I guess the question becomes why are they fighting? If it is life or death, Kirito for the win. If it is just a match, Kirito probably going down.

True Zoro is pretty strong by brute force. Also, Kirito has been fighting in dungeons lots... there isn't much opportunity to showcase if he can really cut through things. Also lots of the objects are immortal like buildings, etc. But I'm sure Kirito could slice through tons of stuff if the game permitted. Because he has the best sword excalibur. Zoro doesn't even have Mihawk's sword yet, which is known to be the best sword in One Piece. And also as I said before Kirito can slice bullets in half fired from sniper rifles at point blank range... I'd actually like to see Zoro try that.

The fact that Zoro doesn't have the best swords in the series only makes the strength disparity more obvious. Kirito having the best sword in his universe doesn't mean that it is going to be the best sword in the One Piece verse. Also, reacting to, and slicing through bullets is a simple task for a haki user like Zoro.

^ pretty much that and zoro's observation haki will allow him to read kirito's moves like an open book and probably win without a single scratch

I'm gonna say something that's pretty much my enterpretation. Yeah it's true Zoro has observational Haki. But remember that Kiritio kind of has the same technique. In one episode Kirito is seen closing his eyes, acting extremely calm, breathing slowly, and is able to hear and mentally paint a picture of wear the man is hiding in a bush. (Gun Gale Online BOB match). And also Kirito's reaction times... i don't think he needs to even predict moves.

Well...it's the truth.

Except for Superman vs. Goku - we all know how that one ended. Twice.

The problem with a Kirito v. Zoro matchup is that it's a mismatch from the very formation of the idea.
Kirito has outrageous abilities, all of which are confined to a handful of VR games. In the real world of his own show, he's still very much a sedentary teenager.
Zoro wouldn't know what VR was unless you showed it to him, and he'd likely spend a few minutes getting well and truly lost in game before ditching the headset to go train some more and work out the frustration.
In One Piece, Zoro has to fight and win or die trying with his own strength. Kirito, outside of the World Seed, is still just a normal scrubby human like the rest of us.

Zoro for sure. I've only watched the first season of SAO, so I probably haven't seen Kirito at his best. Even still, Zoro is, well, he's Zoro.

Hell no. Zoro EASILY defeats Kirito in agility, power, endurance and technique. It wouldn't even be a fight.
