The website will EVENTUALLY die like all things but I don't think it's in the process of dying.

it depends crunchyroll is stronger then it was ever before do to youtube sponsoring advertisements and crunchyroll only shows. If they keep up the popularity it has now it would be quite some time before it ends.

All things eventually change. I think both will be around for a very long time. But you never know so you should enjoy each and every precious moment.

And forums are NOT in a decline. Those that die usually do so because they failed to adapt and change with the times. Or their information just wasn't relevant or useful enough to warrant having enough members to keep it alive. Let's look at book blogs and book reviewers. I know one in particular that does mostly romance reviews and she busts her butt and her site has become massive. It's what I pretty much consider the golden standard for book review sites. She also reviews a lot of independent authors which is nice but it's size and scope is pretty staggering. You put that up against really shoddy ones and it's no wonder the lesser one's die off. It all comes down to relevance, adaptability, hard work and a little bit of luck.

Anyone can create a website but not everyone can create a website people want to hang out in for a long time. It's hard to build a community. It has to be nurtured and engaged. It takes ALOT of work.

I think CR and MAL are fine. Both have access to other forms of revenue if they want. Ad's, subscription based services, donations, etc. Both are relevant and seem quick to try and change and adapt. Look at CR's spring lineup. It's insanely massive. I hope they kept some money for summer lol. I think for the time being both sites are in good shape.

As a lot of people already pointed out "nothing lasts forever". Let's just hope it still have a long life ahead.

I don't use a lot of forums but it seems to me that they are a little more based on actual communication than social media where you mostly just share things without connecting much to other people. It seems to me that a forum community is stronger than its social media equivalent. But I could be wrong too.

Its not. Ap programs and niche services are really well-received right now, like CR. And cable, well.. is less so by each passing year.

the Crunchyroll forums are the only forums ive ever taken part in. I really don't come on here anymore. to me its hard to connect to people on here. plus I think a lot of bad anime is promoted on this site so the majority of people are a certain way from the start. all forums are dead
