So, the ability i'm talking about is fire fist or whatever he calls it. Basically it reminded me of Rurouni Kenshin, when Makoto Shisio. If you've never seen the anime, basically, luffy has the ability to pump his blood so fast it changes color (2nd gear) what if he pumped it so fast, his blood turned into fire, the friction his blood generates becomes so extreme his hand actually turns to becomes on fire.

Thoughts?

"fire fist"

lol you're talking about Ace, or Sabo (when Ace died he took Ace's power).

Anyway I know what you're talking about. Luffy pumps blood in order to move in combat quicker. But he does end up generating steam rather than fire.

I thought he made that ability for his brother, but I think it's more he punches so fast that it makes fire lol

I'm more curious about his haki/rubber form when he fought doflamingo, the symbols have gotta be hinting towards something that we all missed, maybe its an ability that he has since he's the son of dragon?

I've heard people bring up vulcanization when it comes to red hawk. I can't claim to understand it enough to know if they're onto something though.

I go second gear when the fridge is empty so I should have a fire fist!
ace ate the flare-flare fruit which makes him fire (obvs)
but I think luffy made the " red hawk" move which generates fire for a memory for his brother dying!
but I don't know why or he generates fire seen has hes a rubberman, I think it had to do with his blood pressure and him steaming when he goes into second gear.

Even though One Piece is manga/anime and very fictitious there are somethings that Oda researches when he writes his stuff. It's mostly folklore and history though, like alot of the events or characters are a twist on something or someplace that happened. For example, Cavendish (the pretty guy from Dressrosa with 2 personalities, Hakuba) He is named Cavendish after Cavendish square a setting in the novel: Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde also about a guy with split personalities.
If there were some loosely realistic physics behind Red Hawk, my guess would be that Luffy uses his rubber arm and vibrates it SO fast that the air molecules around his arm catch fire and stick to his arm which wouldn't be harmed cuz rubber is an insulator.
it's kind of like Sanji spinning around causing friction to use Diable Jambe.
I think i just revealed that I used to be huge nerd on One Piece forums...
