I've been a CR member on and off since late 2013. Ever since I started and up til now, nothing has changed. I've done the whole work up with tech support. There is nothing wrong with my internet, DNS, or computer itself.

The reason I have cancelled on and off is because I will only watch a show on CR when I have to. It's THAT bad of an experience watching a show on this site. It's a problem on CR's end, not the thousands of users who have complained about this.

I am literally paying for irritation, and when I reach the point that there is no more shows exclusively on CR that I want to watch, I will be inclined to permanently cancel my membership unless something changes in that period of time.

It's ridiculous how many people have complained about it and still no change.

And no, I'm not doing or posting any diagnostics. Already been down that road more than once. I just want to let you know how frustrating this is.

I have the same problem I've asked for help before and I always get the same response "My computer is the problem." but This has happened to me on more than 1 internet provider in different cities over the last 2 years and then on multiple devices.
I am a heavy gamer and have a computer and internet service to fit. even then I have has stuttering on SD picture format. on my phone, chromebook, chromecast, smart tv, and computer.
I asked them how to fix it they told me to change my DNS. When I asked them how that would help my chromecast I never got a response.

Other people I know experience the same thing.

A different DNS server may resolve to a different CR CDN server with a better end-to-end connection to your home network. I know when I reset my router recently, and it defaulted to TWC's DNS servers, I experienced reduced playback performance compared to either Google Public DNS or OpenDNS.

CarbonMizo's statement, "When I asked them how that would help my chromecast I never got a response" is relevant here.

Chromecast is hardcoded for Google Public DNS, and it isn't a simple thing to change:
http://blog.hroyer.com/post/80949364370/how-to-bypass-chromecasts-hardcoded-dns-and

This also means that given he is experiencing the issues on the Chromecast, changing any of the other devices to Google Public DNS is unlikely to have a positive effect. He also mentioned his phone, and assuming he doesn't limit viewing to WiFi, that would mean a different ISP and DNS (unless, for example, he had a Verizon phone and was on FIOS at home).

I am in Canada we don't use Verizon and Also I've watched shows on my cell networks and had issues,

Also Thank you for actually knowing what I meant when I pointed out that this was an issue.

Netflix works fine , youtube is fine, and my wife streams tv from China and Korea all the time with no issues of stuttering. yet CR is always problematic.

I've also canceled my sub a number of times due to being completely unable to stream shows. I have a 150 Mbit connection, enterprise grade networking equipment, I troubleshoot Cisco enterprise networks for a living and can verify, without a doubt, it's not me, my ISP or the ISP backbone I'm connected to. Whatever the problem, it's definitely on their end.

I also tried contacting support here and they were just as useless as everyone else has experienced. They seriously need to fix their crap.

The past few months, their servers were actually doing a decent job of not dropping connection mid-stream but, today, it has been unbearable. I've been trying for nearly an hour now to watch a single episode of a show. If they don't fix it soon (within the next few days,) I'll cancel my sub again.

That's why I suggest trying both is that one may offer better performance where the other doesn't. And if there is no improvement, there's also no harm done.

This hard to figure out it could be the first video I watch or the 3rd or 4th / or other times no problem! Go figure it is random on each =viewing session I start with a clean history cache etc just to waych vidoes . Ir is not my first rodeo here!

The video stops 1/2 way and I have to reset / or go do something else and come back later . Even log out

Now I am saying this to disparge CR by any means . Just the other day I watched Funimation stopping to take breaks no problems at all !

I dont mind doing some tweaks / but I to add plugins etc gets to be a hassle CR should run on any platform with minor tweaks here and there.

I am not a software / tech engineer ans shoud have to be as long you do updates maitain ypur PC etc. Have good internet etc!
