Anime is already drawn and animated on computers these days, and a lot of the anime I see are obviously using 3D assets.

Imagine watching a dramatic scene unfold from whatever angle you choose.

Imagine watching a battle in Gundam unfold, from within the cockpit.

Imagine that it is YOUR head getting decapitate by a vampire or samurai.

Imagine being at the center of a Gainax ending. Where is your mind?

Hell, while I am in the gaming category, how amazing would it be getting a god's eye view of the world map, or watching your character move in the most detailed diorama?

Nah. What I want is to be able to watch anime on a virtual theater sized screen, with subtitles popping off the screen for better readability.

How about while you are watching, you got Wikipedia or whatever opened to your side, and you get to read up on character bios, or look up whatever fact or trivia your don't understand.

It would probably be difficult to do. And costly, you would probably miss a lot of key moments if you could view from different angles.

It's nice to dream but this kind of technology is behind the humanity of 50 years from now let alone anytime soon. Being able to create a method to view anime like that is ironically not even the hardest part when I think about tbh.

We're better off enjoying what's here, right now tbh

i can only imagine the hell it must be to develop a series for VR. i pity the poor animators unlucky enough to be given the task to draw the frames for such thing.

around $400 for new Graphics card
Around $200 for paid Tech services to install new Graphics card
Around $800 for Vive VR or maybe something else (I'm not knowledgeable about which VR)

So possibly around $1,400 for VR Hentai, worth it.

let's not forget the likely astronomical cost to make a VR anime.
unless you don't mind spending a few thousand bucks for a single series.

You're assuming that the person thinking about VR doesn't have a decent/strong Pc.
I don't have a Vr "thingy" because i don't see any game i Need.

The weird thing about VR anime is wouldn't the video need to be in front of of you stationary, maybe you could turn around to see different angles of a room that you're in but all the action would have to be infront along with the subtitles.
