So with no episode this week, at least AmiAmi delivered my very own Goma-Chan.

Much bigger than I expected, about 18" long.

This is adorable! How much did it run you? Curious because my kids are really enjoying Goma-chan

I got it from AmiAmi, where I buy a majority of my imported items, so shipping was rather steep. but hey, they ship on thursday and I have it on hand on Monday or Tuesday, not bad for international shipping.

They have smaller ones which are less expensive but shipping...

NHK aired a rerun of episode 6 today. I wonder if there will be a rerun after every 4 episodes.

I wonder what is going on with all the delays. Weird.

Episode 7

Great episode. Mostly focused on Sugao, who now lives on a mountain in a foreign land. To help Sugao learn the language and hopefully makes friends, his father hired a private tutor who turned out to be rather useless...

But in the end, Sugao even made friends with the Yeti, so all worked out.

For the record - my kids have watched this episode 3 times at this point. They love Sugao meeting the yeti!

Ah! I didn't realize the Olympics were what was causing there to be no episodes. I was puzzled because although MAL still had it as currently airing, it had stopped at ep 13, so I was wondering if in fact it might not have been a case of just getting nudged into Summer Season for the last couple of episodes and was was actually really over now.

I look forward to its return.

So besides being a bitter-sweet non-reunion, I think this is the first time we've heard Sugao speak.

Apparently this will continue into Spring, but as a second season, which is probably why it's not listed as continuing on CR's lineup page. I do hope they are getting the the new season though, and will announce soon.

There are a lot of anime aimed at younger kids that I don't personally enjoy watching, but there are several that I do, and this has been one of them.

I mostly love its cheerfulness though, and tbh, the Sugao episodes/portions of episodes mostly get me feeling a bit down. *sob sob*

It seems episode 64 is the last episode of "second season". "Third season" is schedule to start on April 3, 2018.

And a formal announcement that Crunchyroll gets the 3rd season, starting to air on April 3

http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2018/04/02/crunchyroll-to-simulcast-shonen-ashibe-go-go-goma-chan-season-3

For such a low-traffic thread, I see no reason to start a "Season 3" thread, but perhaps a mod can edit the thread description which currently says "Spring 2016" to something more current.

Yay! I always watch and usually enjoy this. Was wondering if it would continue. (I've updated the thread description to say 2016, 2017, 2018 since it's aired in significant portions of all those years).
