I'm talkin' about those teachers that lived on the edge. The teachers who pushed the envelope. that crazy teacher who said what they wanted.
In school whenever we watched a movie or show we needed a permission slip. One of my teachers just didn't care. He showed us movies with violence, nudity, and swearing all the time. When students asked him if he ever got in fights he responded with "no, I take out my gun and I shoot people".
Did you have a teacher like that?

My little sister and I both had the same social studies teacher in 8th grade, and, while he didn't stand out to me in particular, she had some stories to tell. For one, when she asked him about me, his responses were rather, ah, colorful. Something about my handwriting looking like I was writing in the middle of a war zone. He also made my sister's class read the book version of Lone Survivor (later got a Mark Wahlburg movie adaptation), which proved to be much too graphic for a bunch of 14 year olds.

Yeah. It was a writing professor.

He gave everyone worksheets meant for fourth-grade kids and made you do them over again along with a new worksheet if you made any errors. 70% of the class made mistakes. I was horrified.

I had a teacher who would walk around swinging a rod all around and he at one point apparently taped a stuffed duck to the outside of his window. He would go around the room quacking and pretending to rip up peoples papers.

I wouldn't really call that type of person an "anti hero", since an anti hero is usually someone that makes the tough choices and sacrifices for the greater good. Your teach however just sounds like someone that's mentally ill that doesn't understand how to cooperate and life properly within the social norms of society :/

These were some of my best teachers. They aren't mentally ill. They just like to make people laugh. I'm saying they aren't very serious which is the generally accepted teacher.

Hmmm, does the one who accidentally shot a Real Admiral with a pneumatic bolt gun and got away with it count?

My welding instructor I'd say. Though my EMT instructors were pretty great. But nothing beats a man in his sixties who's been in construction his whole life.

Back when I was in high school, I heard a story about how at the end of the school year one of the teachers told a class he taught how much he absolutely hated them and how happy he was to see them graduating and leaving the school. Though to be fair, they were apparently the graduating class from the black lagoon.

...well that's certainly pushing the edge all right

An elderly social studies teacher in the seventh grade. He was a bit eccentric but proficient at what he did. I recall he used to go roller skating at the skating rink with his students. ^_^

I being dead serious here. My PE teacher allows boys/girls to talk about porn and view porn in the classroom during free time, exchange porn posters and drawings. Best teacher ever.
