According to the origin of the term one of the problems that comes from it, it not realizing how common rape is. There's the wide spread myth that men can't be raped by women, victim blaming, blaming the victim is lying (more common in the military). In other words a lot of the time it's about excusing stuff from being rape.

Its difficult to say that people saying "rape isn't that widespread" is evidence of rape culture, when so many people push absolutely bullshit statistics about the prevalence of rape on college campuses. Statistics like 1 in 3 or 1 in 5 are commonly cited despite coming from a self reporting survey (problem 1) with a tiny sample size (problem 2) and flawed methods of describing something as rape (problem 3). All too often, when people rightly challenge those statistics, others yell "rape culture" or "rape apologist".

Further, I find the idea of "listen and believe" being pushed by feminists to be a bit unrealistic. It is not evidence of rape culture for police to question the victim or the courts to address claims of rape with scrutiny. This is often mistaken for "victim blaming" when in reality it is just due process. With how heavy a claim rape is, it is not something that should be believed without any evidence by society at large (although it still is in large part). That said, there is a strange narrative going around which implies that if a woman was to confide in a close friend, or family about her rape, that those individuals would immediately say "well what were you wearing". This seems absolutely ridiculous and unfounded to me.

EDIT: I will agree that there are big problems with society's treatment of male rape victims though.

and so? you can't controll everything that happends in prison unless you advance it a lot with less space meaning quite expensive stuff.. even then its not much you could do about it.

Or thinking that rape is such a bad thing.. yes its mostly negative (or having a negative effect sometimes on both sides).. but there is allways ways for it being in the grey zone.
If they think it was bad or not and more.

and some people see more problems with how people having sex that things become more in the "rape" area.
When they would say they was, think they was, feel such was done to them.. some might be right some might be wrong..

there is so much you could ask both parties about what happend and why it happend.

You know what? I just noticed there's 3 threads on the first page of this forum concerning rape. 2 of which were posted today.
Is there any happy news to go around?

Example right here. I could almost understand the indifference, if the victims were all rapists and murders, but they're not. The current prisons are a failure, and for all of our talk of justice, people act nearly indifferent. If we're going to care that little about their rights we might as well add security cameras.

Worry more about the rights of law abiding citizens than criminals. Getting sent to prison 3 times and it should be an automatic death sentence, carried out on the spot.

Yep if you get locked up 3 times one year a piece, that definitely makes you an inhuman monster. This certainly not missing the point of the whole exercise.
