I've moved this over to Site Support, but the succinct answer can be found in the Help/FAQ Knowledgebase:

In Australia Crunchyroll has a competitor that I also use. Some shows won't be available on crunchyroll but are available on the competitor. Even with the 2 of them, there are still shows I can't watch. Though the current season it's clear that Crunchyroll has gotten more shows.

I am probably going to get my account banned for this post though. I imagine the competition between anime streaming websites is just as over exaggerate as everything in anime is.

AnimeLab, I presume?

Hardly, your post doesn't have anything to deserve such rap, by any yardsticks, even if this were Funi forums or such, so give CR a little slack here.

Besides, they know a lot of us will watch something by other means if that something is unavailable/blocked. Anime fandom in the West in general isn't exactly illiterate of such things, a lot of it a legacy of its history way before services like CR, AnimeLab etc appeared on the world stage...

It's fine to mention legitimate competitor streaming sites like AnimeLab or Viewster or Funimation and the like. We do have a rule against naming illegal streaming sites though.

Ok, I didn't know what the rules are. It does make sense, I just didn't want to get in trouble.

This is helpful, but makes me wonder something. I'm moving to Japan for a few years in July. Is anything on CR available in Japan? Those links just show what's available from where you're sitting, so I can't "check ahead of time" or whatever.

Almost nothing here aside from RWBY is available in Japan, unless you are stationed on a US military base.

Even living in a military base in Japan, there's nothing to watch but maybe a few episodes of RWBY and a couple of podcasts. I can't say for sure about mainland Japan, but in Okinawa every base has the same ISP so I know for sure that the only way to watch is changing your IP just so you can watch on CR. If you are moving to a military base, Hulu Plus is the next alternative thing for anime streaming.
