What is the first word you want your kid to learn?
Posted 4/16/16
What is the first word you want your kid to learn? and I am not talking about Mama and Papa folks.

My brother was jokingly trying to get his baby boy to say 'quote' as his first word, with the idea that his dying words can be 'unquote'. I think that's a little too long of a time to wait for a poetic punch line.
Baka would be easier, but that feels a little wrong.

If your single like me, just roll with it. You might have/get a niece or nephew you could teach it to.

Greeting words such as "Hello", "Goodbye".
Maybe "yes" and "no".

I would want my kid to learn his/her name first. Then some of the basics like "Hello", "thanks", "dog", "cat".

My neighbors' one year old calls everything a "muh fuh". I think he hears it a lot at home.

I'd try to teach them some fruit I guess. Apple or Banana. Yes or no would also be convenient. A kid at the kindergarten I work at only knows the word *more*.
