I have two Great Danes! Both from the same litter, the oldest and youngest. Willow Grace Alexander, and Lila May Gonderson Alexander. This is Lila!

I had a greyhound, Sagebrush. She's the one in my profile picture. Unfortunately, I lost her a couple of years ago to hip dysplasia. She was a wonderful dog. I had a neighbor who was deathly afraid of dogs after being mauled as a child, and Sage helped her get over her fear. Sage was tall enough to put her paws up on top of the four foot fence that separated our two yards and leaned her head over to let my neighbor pet her head. My neighbor started buying dog treats to give to Sage and Sage would spin around and dance for her. She eventually ended up getting her a dog of her own.

I have an old yellow lab (going on 14) that still acts like a damn puppy. At this rate, she'll be around for a few years yet. My other pup is 11 or 12. He's an Irish setter mix. He still runs around like he's five. Makes me happy to see them so healthy and active after all these years. I should have hunted my lab more. She was a good bird dog years ago. Then life got busy and we didn't train her or get her into the field enough. Now she's just an old time member of the family.

I have a 3 and 1/2-year-old beagle. She's a mess. (But I love her just the same.)
