I've had my fair share of anime genres involving action, adventure, and supernatural, so lately, i've been gearing towards other genres to get another feel of what is out there.

With that being said, I could use some help or recommendations! I'm looking for things listed below:

Searching For

- Anime within the ranges of 12 - 26 episodes. Can be longer only if it is an A-rank series.

- Series of the following genres: Mystery, Sci-fi, Drama, Romance, Comedy, and Fantasy. Mostly romances and mysteries.

- Any anime from any era will do. That goes for modern, 00's, 90's, and even 80's!

- Any anime films are included, so if its a one-shot, feel free to recommend!

I've seen quite a few anime, so there could be a chance that I have seen your recommendation. Even so, anything you leave me helps! Thank You.

I watch a lot of romance anime, so if I were to interpret your request as "name me some older and/or under-appreciated romance anime", here's the list I would come up with:

Hanasaku Iroha (slice of life, coming of age)
Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu (Ecchi rom-com with some harem elements)
Otome Yokai Zakuro (supernatural romance/drama with some mild action/mystery elements)
Aishiteruze Baby (slice of life, family drama)
Kimikiss: Pure Rouge (unapologetic romantic sappiness)

Other mystery/detective shows would include Gosick and Read or Die. Witch Hunter Robin is a supernatural/occult mystery/detective show.

A show that goes hand in hand with Noir is Madlax.

A fantasy and murder mystery in one with a touch of romance -> Blast of Tempest.

Some great romance shows include Blue Spring Ride, Say I Love You, Bokura Ga Ita, Saikano, and My Little Monster. Those cover a range of different aspects of the romance genre. I tried to stay away from the blatantly "girly" romances since you're a guy and might not appreciate hardcore shoujo. Koi Kaze is another one that's unique but it depends on your tolerance for "unconventional" relationships.

Another good show is Wolfs Rain. This one isn't a mystery or romance like you highlighted but it's still worth watching if you haven't. I'm not sure how easy it is to find these days though.

If I think of more I'll post. :)
