I'd buy a big chunk of land out in the woods, build a cabin and a workshop there and just spend the rest of my life in relative solitude making things.

Since I would never be able to spend so much money, the first thing I would do is secure the future of my children and their families and hire a PFA. I would then invest in the Tourette Syndrome Association and studies since my son has TS and this hits home for me. Do to my own neurological issues I would probably opt to have the brain surgery I cannot afford at this time (and have also put off due to the concerns for my children if complications arise) and invest in vestibular /neurological studies and cancer research.

Of course I would also live comfortably and continue to donate and help others where I could. It would be nice to enjoy my time without the burden of financial struggles. However, sometimes with big money comes big problems. So it is hard to say how everything would go for sure. I know that is more than I would ever need.

Donate 9 trillion to Trump, xD. Edit : Sorry I didn't read it all! I'll become the next Donald trump then. Edit 2: What you CAN donate? Well back to plan A.

Live off the rest of the money. Go adventuring, soul searching. Write a book, play video games, go fishing more, read, learn how to draw, adopt a kid, adopt pets. Something like that.

For other donations I don't know. I have a thing where if I donate money it has to be done anonymously. So I wouldn't tell you even if I did donate some of the money.

That is an insanely large amount of money. That's about three times the US annual budget - or about half the GDP of the US (or EU too), or about 90% of China's GDP. Really. For the year you got the money you'd would be the third larges economy - only surpassed by China and the US.

But what to do with $9,500,000,000,000? Just about anything I could do seems really small compared to that amount.
I might make a fiber optic internet provider - that provides fiber to every house in America - and Canada, since it would be more convenient that way.
I also would dump about a trillion or so into science and research. It'll probably do something useful in there (just have to make sure it doesn't get wasted). Also a few hundred billion into space - space generally makes nice things.

I'd probably do a bunch of other things too, but most things seem so small - I mean when you have $9.5 Trillion whats $50 Billion on a small project. I'd also keep a few hundred billion for personal expenses (and some on that order for family too).

Oh, and I'd give everyone $200-400 (the exact amount depending on how things went). Everyone.
All 7 Billion of them. Yes, I'd use about half of it and give every single person on the planet a few hundred USD.
I figure it would probably do more good than harm. And besides, sometimes you just look at something crazy and realize you can do it and then you have to for no other reason than because you can, and if you didn't it would keep bugging you until you did.

With that sort of money, we can work on America's outdated infrastructure and modernize it for sustainability. Details below.

I would invest in vertical farming, on the ocean farming, and other innovative ways to make food. This way, we could have fresh produce all year without having tariffs being taken on the goods, or a drought/flood that raises the price of food.

I would give money directly to scientists around the world that are working on finding cures for diseases like diabetes, cancer, ALS, Alzheimer's, and others. Once the cure has been found, I would make sure it gets out to all patients. The illness industry is big bucks here, so it would be dangerous to have this information. That's why it would be possibly disguised as some other type of treatment (like immunotherapy).

In the process of doing this, I would likely have more money to spend since the farms would likely become franchises. With additional funds, I would work on eliminating lead in all pipes and walls. I would build new homes using renewable energy and sustainable building materials like hemp concrete and bamboo. I would potentially give money to other companies to give grants to homeowners to get more renewables like solar, wind, and geothermal, so their bills for electricity and heat aren't so high.

I would make a business out of getting fiber cable to all people, so we could have cheap and ultra fast internet.

I would give grants to colleges and universities that have degrees in emerging or needed industries like medical, agricultural, and any type of science.

Give grants to companies that will fix the roads and bridges. They are in bad shape in many places.

That's all I can think of.

9.5 trillion dollars, damn, not too sure, I would keep about 10 billion for myself and my family, I don't see me ever needing more than that, I mean in the end, I'm still a greedy ****.

As for the rest 9.49 trillion, there are a lot of things in the world that could be considered broken, or at least not up to modern standards, a lot of stuff would be that case in developing countries but I'll focus on developed countries.

The first, education, it's beyond my comprehension why we still use such an outdated method for teaching, sure it gets the job done but it's getting harder and harder, not to mention it seems that learning difficulties like dyslexia are on the rise (though some speculate it's due to the label being applied too broadly), not to mention the issue of having schools doing what ever it takes to get more funding, even if that's teaching you how to memorise things and take tests rather than how to learn and understand things.

Next, energy, it's everywhere and how much we require for daily life is ever increasing, so why not throw a bit of money towards those fancy fusion reactors. I would throw a bit at renewables too.

R&D on things like vertical farms and other ways to grow more food in less horizontal space and stuff. (Pretty much the same as what scye27 said)

Mental health, something I feel is severely underplayed in modern society, "if you're depressed, nah, you're just seeking attention" things like this, coupled with the issue that there doesn't seem to be enough help out there. I would fund research in treatments for things like Alzheimer's and such.

Not too sure what else I would do, I guess I would donate to where ever I could, but those listed would be the main places the money would go.

I can pretty much buy whatever I want. That's an insane amount of money. You could own a city with that money easily. There really isn't much I can't buy with that. It would also make me the worlds richest man. By a lot. Like a whole lot. I would never run out of money unless I went around by huge properties. I would never really have to worry about money again. If you put 3 million dollars in your bank you pretty much don't have to worry about money again if you live humbly. I could give money to so many charities. I could invest and make more money and support more charities.

Open up a big number of boarding schools and universities that produce the men required for all of my newly founded (or acquired) tech companies. Subsidise gyms and memberships for men. Make access to birth control and abortions more wide spread and easier. Buy a nice property in the mountains and enjoy life with what little is left of the money.
