I understand myself. I don't understand humans. I think we're all equally complex; I have never in my life came to a complete understanding of another and I think that's a good thing but at the same time I long for that person that just "gets me", corny I know.

I don't understand myself for I am human. If that makes any lick of sense.

I can't say I understand your sentiment. Do you mean you don't understand your biological identity which is human? Why your body acts in certain ways, etcetera? I've always known "self", self is just suppressed. Hopefully I don't sound weird with this lol.

I guess what I mean is that being human has forced me to not understand certain things that makes us human in the first place. And when it comes to me as a whole, I can not understand me. I try making sense but I can't think straight.

Oh opposed to being a machine? We cannot fully grasp ourselves because subconsciously we don't want to know our self. Our emotions such as pride get in the way of giving us the full picture of ourself, we don't want to know the truth because it hurts, it's ugly. Am I on the right track?

You buy a computer but you don't read the manual, same with a car or a DVD player. Yet you know how to use it. Isn't it strange we can use all this technology without manuals but the one thing (ourselves) we really need a manual for, we don't have. That is because humans are unpredictable and so diverse, no manual could possibly be sufficient. Or it would have to be millions of pages and impossible to follow.
Some say this thing called the Bible is a manual, but look where following that *human* book gets us; wars, intolerance, ignorance, abusiveness, racism and many other failures of human nature. I think it was an attempt at some sort of guide book but it's just so outdated and was written by people that understood A LOT less about humanity than the typical person knows now. Yes this post ended up being a crack on Christianity, but I'm sure you won't mind Qualeshia.
