So, tell me why are people with high self esteem so hated by certain people? Is it wrong to have high self esteem? Do you have high or low self esteem?

Enjoy!!!!

I never knew people with high self esteem were hated and I don't think it is wrong for someone to have high self esteem. I personally have had a pretty low self esteem for as long as I can remember.

I have never really known of people with high self-esteem to be hated. Maybe they are envied to some degree. Narcissism and self-absorption will definitely not win you any friends, but I personally find high self-esteem to be a good quality in others. I consider high self-esteem to be healthy and beneficial. We all deserve to feel secure with ourselves

In a sense, almost everything and everyone is hated to some degree. So yeah people with high self esteem are a bit hated but that could be mainly jealousy.

Boy, ever feel like you answered your own question?

Well, I know almost everyone is hated to a certain degree and but I never really knew having high self esteem was something that you could be really noticeably hated for. And yes. I answer my own questions all the time.

It's out there but it's not so big that tons of people notice it. It probably is just jealousy mixed in with hatred.

Good to know I am not alone in answering my own questions.

It can happen but it's possibly jealousy.

People hate what they feel threatened by. It's not just high self esteem.

People who have low self esteem tend to vilify those they perceive to "have what they don't". They misplace that self hate of theirs on the other person--accusing the other person of intentionally rubbing it in their face and making them feel that way.

So there is some jealousy in it?

Kind of. It's more like a quality someone dislikes about themselves, but they assume other people are making them feel that way. Usually, they'll accuse others of "showing off" (without justification) instead of acknowledging they're own feelings of inadequacy.

It's another way people become bullies too.

Objection! Leading the witness.

Not necessarily. Contempt is more like it. Narcissism is not something to be envied, qualities such as overcompensating for deficits in their own self-esteem, they wear a mask to hide it.

Stop white knighting qualeshia, she's a big girl and can fight her own battles. Regardless, I'm pretty sure I called that one right because yes I hate those tendencies within myself to know it when I encounter it externally. :c

Call it a woman's intuition. Some things are just obvious and immediately recognizable and understood.
