My intention is never to offend, or hurt anyone, it's to hopefully get people thinking about other factors. You should take a trip inside my head, I call it negativity land. I'm slowly coming out of my shell and attempting to see some of the positive; but my mind finds it hard to rationalize at times, I guess I'm part of the problem.

I think it's important to address the negative aspects, but to dwell on them is unhealthy. As an example, you may need to have a serious talk with a friend or family member about a bad habit of theirs that is affecting you in some way, such as playing loud music or forgetting to knock before opening your bedroom door. But after having that talk and correcting the issue, it should be over.
As far as me personally, it's distressingly easy for me to focus on the negative. In particular, during the rare times I get angry, it's like an infinite loop that keeps feeding itself... the only way to stop it is to take a good, hard look at what's making me angry. Sometimes I'll find there is no logical reason to be upset, and that anger just sort of "falls" away... leaving me feeling temporarily empty. Comparing myself to those I know on the internet, I think I'm more optimistic than most. Most folks I know think that everyone on earth is inherently selfish or mean-spirited. I'm a staunch individualist and believe that a person has a choice to try to be good or not. When you start thinking everyone on earth is evil, it's a good time to step away from your computer, unplug your TV and go talk to some actual people. You will find good qualities, bad qualities and everything in between... the important thing is to learn about and understand BOTH the good and the bad. That way, you can work towards more positive things. |

Sometimes. I believe in moderation so I devote a good chunk of my time to dwelling on both the positive and negative aspects of humanity. (There, I did it. One freaking sentence instead of a gazillion chapters. I finally managed to answer a question without going on and on and elaborating about everything and anything except for the actual question. Finally, now you'll won't have to wade through lines and lines of text over something that should only require a simple sentence and......ahh crap I'm doing it again).

I think it's easy to get swept up in negativity since there's so much to complain about, and as such I like to try and remind myself of the positive things humans do. Being a miserable cynic all the time is draining and unhealthy.

I don't care to be honest, I realize now that you can't do anything to stop evil or good, you must simply live with it until only you yourself can change the way people must live.
Negative or positive there will always be someone ready to point a gun at the back of your head, or there will always be someone to lend you a helping hand. Just smile and laugh, that is literally life's remedy for such a question. Stop worrying about it and live. Through negativity there will be hope, because hoping one day to live positively should be our first goal in life. |
My story above all else.

It's alright to be able to see both. Just don't focus on one side or the other. In other words, don't be naive and think there is good in everyone, but don't be cynical about everything.

I mourn the negative and celebrate the positive. I think overall humanity is resilient enough to overcome the negatives in favor of the positive.
