I used to know a guy who used the word "fuckin'" as a replacement for "um"...

He sounded like an idiot

Really just another word in the dictionary.

I judge people by their actions, not what they say :p

Nothing wrong with it imo.

They're just words that people deemed as bad for some reason.

It all depends on how often you use it. I've no problem with it being used once in a while or in conversations with friends. However, its different if you're the kind of person who swears regularly in normal conversation, with no regard for who's around you or the context of the conversation. I find that the people who do that are the kind that don't think about their actions or even consider why it might be appropriate to filter themselves.

i have no issues saying it, however i find excessive use annoying. it only bothers me around young children that i do not know. just seems kindof disrespectful

Words are instruments, swear-words are bricks.

If you don't believe me, try comparing the original TV Monty Python sketches, where they had to find creative alternatives to the BBC not allowing them to swear ("Oh, coitus."), vs. the live stage shows where they pretty much wallowed in the censor-free R-rated material.
The censored sketches have funnier timing, without that sudden filthy fist hitting you on the side of the head.

Its fine so long as you don't do it in every breath. That, I think, is unattractive.

I dislike curse words. I think they are fine if sparingly and only for large emphasis. Anyone who uses it in regular conversation usually off puts me. Its not those people are bad it just annoys me, there have been people I really enjoyed when they were not cussing but they did it so much I would simply stop hanging out with them.

It's one thing to use them in actual malice or to express extreme annoyance or frustration--
But mIllennials tend to follow the trend-setting lead of less-educated urban black culture in using f*** and s*** as generic all-purpose Aloha's, to fill in for words they otherwise don't know....And, y'know, other s*** like that.

The trick is to know more words. And you're more likely to be judged on whether or not you DO.

As long as swear words aren't used to demean someone, I could care less.

I only really swear for emphasis, haven't sworn to be demeaning for quite some time. Then again, I haven't been in an argument since secondary school.

**edit**
On second thoughts, I do swear to a couple of my friends, but it's in jest.

I can care less what you say or do in your life.
