The whole "pink is for girls" is true for me at least.

Considering I remember having a couple My Little Pony and a Barbie doll in my single-digit ages, I can't even say that really. lol

Yeah, well, I wasn't allowed to play with power tools or computers just because I'm a girl............stupid, you know how much my brothers make as computer programmers now!!!!

Makes me kinda mad thinking about it.

"Always respect your elders!". I respect those worthy of respect no matter what age they are and don't respect others no matter what age they are. Respect is earned not prioritized by age.

^ This. Respect is definitely earned and shouldn't be defined by age.

A rule that you were obligated to follow, something that was enforced on you as a child.

OT: I had much freedom as a child, too bad I didn't use much of it cause I was the type to always go along with anything. But one thing I always questioned was "Always aim for the best and never leave work for later".

Unscrew Oreos in my presence, and you will live to regret it.

(Dunking them in one piece, however, is okay.)

My parents would let me watch anything on tv as long as it didn't show sex. My mother was also very overprotective and would let me watch tv as long as I wanted. That way she could always keep an eye on me.
I was also allowed to eat whatever junk food I wanted. I had no limits and that's one of the reasons I was overweight.
