Let me know if a thread like this one exist or not.
Thanks a bunches.

Select a random book from your shelf and turn to page 53. Use the first full sentence that appears on that page as the first sentence of a new story. Do not make it too long.

Enjoy!!!

"After a thorough investigation of every portion of the house, without further discovery, the party made its way into a small paved yard in the rear of the building, where lay the corpse of the old lady, with her throat so entirely cut that, upon an attempt to raiser her, the head fell off."

Placing the head in an altogether separate receptacle, both parts were hauled away leaving only a peculiarly bloodless outline of the woman in dew upon the cement.

"Strange, isn't it?" said the detective to whomever would listen.

"Yes, strange," replied several officers. They had been wandering around him, making notes of seemingly random things all across the yard for some time now.

"What relevance does a cork hole in the fence actually have to a murder investigation?" thought the detective.

Walking back inside, he opened the woman's fridge and poured himself a glass of juice. He had been here for hours now. It wasn't a particularly pleasant part of his job to wander to some poor old lady's home at three in the morning and wait around for nothing to happen. Everything that would happen had already happened, and everything that would never happen was what he had taken this job for in the first place all those years ago.

Despite what some would say, murder isn't quite as interesting as it is made to look on the television. Corpses are actually terribly dreadful company and coroners aren't usually much better.

Later that day, he went to the coroners office. Conversation was lacking. No evidence could be found. Even in a murder as remarkable as this, he still needed to do more.

Laying in bed that night, he wracked his brain. His pen tapped against a notepad filled with page after page of meaningless scrawlings, but it was all he could do to prevent himself from going insane. He drew the old woman's face as it was before she died, but it still wasn't particularly exciting, so he drew a new woman. A face that he could draw inside and out from memory. His wife. She was beautiful.

His hands began to itch and his heart beat faster until he was too restless to remain in bed. "Darling?" he questioned into the darkness, as he descended down into the basement. The smell greeted him as he neared the bottom. Flipping the switch, her corpse shone brilliantly, with her head sitting on the chair next to her. He grabbed his knife and thought to himself. "What should I do next?"

Et Fin...thats what I get when I start with a line from Poe.

I'm happy that she saves my favorite character. The first line of the page was about her being bullies because she's good with computers.
