The man chuckled, sounding almost like a hiss through his clenched teeth. "Your kind are disgusting-" he spat, kicking the girl down onto her chest, "bloody fucking monsters." Grinding the heel of his foot into her back, the man started to bellow a crazed laughter. "It's fitting for shit like you to die in an alley." He rose the gun to her head, and his smile faltered. "But a head like yours cashes in a lot of money. You can live your life as a slave." The man stepped off the girl, crouching down with a dark whisper.
"You know what they to little slaves like you? They-"
His words stalled into a gurgle, as a silver blade pierced through his throat. The man's eyes rolled back, his lips forming into malicious words before his life faded. The sound of belching flesh could be heard as the blade was forcefully withdrawn, scattering droplets of blood. As the man's body slumped, another knelt by the girl's side.
"Hold on, miss." A gentle voice spoke, as a pair of hands reached down to aide the injured girl. "There's quite a number of them." Hoisting her on his back, a familiar pair of jade eyes carefully watched the shadows. "Lets get you someplace safe."

Those jaded eyes caressed with her ruby ones. She nodded firmly and laid her head on his upper back. She wasn't startled from the killing, but her back hurt-- badly. "There's one to your left." She whispered against his neck, her breath hitched down his clothed skin.

Months earlier

*An unknown stronghold, found inside an unexplored arch in the unexplored section of the Golden beach, is teeming with military activate. The Orc's are always worried the humans well discover them. There leader, is one of the Orc king's brothers. His name is Melchiah. This Orc was truly a giant among Orc's, standing high at 20 feet. He was awaiting the arrival of one of his other brothers and a special guest that he had yet to meet. As he sat on his huge chair, his engineers were fashioning his armor.*

*Several miles away, a gallant Orc, wearing his races style of clouthing for warriors such as himself, awaited for his friend. He did not care if humans would spot him, he would do battle with them even as normally dressed as he was now. His name was Turel.*

It had just been her and Barnabas, no one else. The two approached the rather strange orc cautiously, as if not to disturb him, but to greet him. The Priestess was mounted upon a stead of albino white while her brotheren rode that of a Clydesdale.

She halted their horses before him, ready to fight if necessary. "Hello," She says lightly now with a calm and delicate composure.

*The Orc robbed his chin as he looked at the 2 suspicious humans walk up to him. Human's naturally hated Orc's for they evolved from Goblins. This was never clear to them how they evolved from Goblins, but accepted this as fact as they did have the same traits as Goblins. Turel noted that the human female was very beautiful and elegant. She dressed the same as women of his society on there free time. Much could not be said about the man next to her, he seemed ready for a fight. One he would lose if he continued towards his direction. He spoke as soon as they halted there movement.*

Hmmm, how may I help you, lady? If your seen speaking with me, you'll be considered a Orc lover and shunned by society.

"I already am." The little lady answered with little to no emotion, but she managed a sweet smile. "I would like to meet with your leader." Her hand rested on her upper thigh while Barnabas relaxed somewhat. "On official business of the coalition."

Hmmm, I am a leader. But I imagine you want to speak with the leader of this zones stronghold. Hmmm, but I'm afraid I need some proof that you are in fact part of the coalition because if I was to bring you to the stronghold, everyone would believe I made you my wife. I'm quite sure you don't want live through that embarrassment.

She smiled very timidly and, without demounting her albino stead, a furrow of bones unfolded from her back and tore out trough her clothes. There was a total of eight unfolded bones that out stretched into the atmosphere. Eventually, white feathers began to soothe on the ends of the bones and grew with ease. Upon seeing such a site, Barnabas halted his horse backwards just a little so her wings had space.

"They call me an angel." She said lightly, "My kind." Her voice was low and saddened. "However, we are no angels."

*As the Orc watched the womans wings spread with grace, his face remained the same. However, his left hand was now away from his swords hilt.*
An angel, huh. I don't know what exactly that is, but your beauty has certainly intensify. As impressive as your wings are, I'm afraid I can't take you to the stronghold, yet. I'm waiting on a friends arrival so I may take him to the stronghold. If you don't mind, you can wait with me. That way, we can all become friends. My name is Turel.

She snorted lowly. Of course, Vaidhurya figured and tightened her wings against her back. The feathers folded up and the bones began to dissolve into almost dust as they faded into the atmosphere. She gripped her horse tighter and marched the stead closer to the orc, smiling gracefully. "I am Vaidhurya." She says, "This is Barnabas."

Pleased to make your acquaintance Vaidhurya and Barnabas. My friend should be arriving any time now, so don't worry. By the way, is Barnabas an angel as well?

*As the three spoke, several miles away, a hooded figure was making his way to them as he followed the main road. This person had gone through a journey to arrive at this point.*

Vaidhurya shook her head and smiled timidly. "We are not angels." She said lightly, "The correct term is Valkyrja, chooser of the slain and servant of the Goddess. I'm afraid Barnabas is- well, we'll save his story for another time." She turns her head to look at her quiet friend.

Hmmm.

*Turel took a mental note of them. The 2 couldn't keep there story straight.*

I see, The Goddess, the human deity.

*Soon, a hooded figure appeared with the 3 not noticing him. He was very short, standing at 5 feet. Under the hood, he wore a iron mask. His hands were buried in his jackets pockets. He was standing on top of a nearby tree. No one noticed him until he spoke.*

I'm here Turel. Who are your friends.

Don't worry Dusa. They look human, but there not. The beautiful woman's name is Vaidhurya and her male friends name is Barnabas.

○ cataleya scarlette

Hearing Prince Malik dismiss her, Cataleya bowed her head towards him once more as she responded politely and determined, "Understood." Lifting her head, she turned towards Lord Aldaris as she sent him a small smile, "My apologies, Lord Aldaris, it seems we must part once more. I had enjoyed this evening, especially getting to know the Lord of the South. Hopefully, that duel we spoke of between your Janissaries and the Milita will happen soon." Cataleya said softly as she saw that another person had approached Prince Malik. She heard of the announcement of the Princess Ellora Neva Adir but never thought she'd come over to talk to Prince Malik. Nevertheless, it wasn't in her to want to eavesdrop between the Royals and the Nobles. But, before she left, she took Prince Malik's interruption as a way for her to speak informally towards Lord Aldaris, "But before I go," she continued, "I wonder if you'd like to join in a little. . . adventure?" Cataleya smiled a bit wider as a small glint was seen through her eyes. "I've been Ordered to find the man Slane "Skillshot" Simmons that crashed the banquet earlier. If you'd like to join, meet me tomorrow at the Adventurer's Guild in the West. I'll wait for a moment's time for you. But, if you don't show, I'll take it as a 'no' and there won't be any ill feelings." She said politely yet the undertone of her voice spoke volumes. At that, she bowed towards Lord Aldaris once more and went on her way.

As she made her way through the banquet, saying her goodbyes towards the children and their parents, Cataleya was glad there weren't any more disturbances or eventfulness that happened as she left the banquet. She would have to report her mission to the King once he was available for a meeting. But, for now, she had to take priority of Prince Malik's words, though, she never thought the Prince hadn't wanted to be well . . Royal. Once she made it outside the Castle, Cataleya took a deep breathe as she stretched and allowed her a moment of relapse. She couldn't wait to head back to her small apartment, to relax in a warm, hot bath and to soak her aching body inside as she rested her eyes for the night. Cataleya knew she shouldn't have attended the ball, especially when she was in such distress and tire, but, the woman they saw at the banquet was a totally different woman they'd see the next day. That's just how she was, she switching between faces and facade, sometimes even fooling herself as she fooled others around her. Once she made it to her home, she allowed time to herself as she drew a bath and got out of her stuffy ballgown and took a pair of pants and shirt instead. As she settled to get a good night's relaxation and rest, she pondered on the events that happened within the four month, including the banquet.

Morning came and Cataleya packed up her belonging once more, only bringing items she really needed such as a spare change of clothes, her weapons that were light enough to carry and not cause too much of a burden on her, some extra little knick-knacks that'll help her on her travels, and lastly some coins for food and shelter. Soon, she was well on her way towards the Western region of Estal. Carrying the map with her as she travelled onwards, Cataleya stopped every once in a while for a moment's rest in the villages she'd past, but she never tarried for more than an hour. As she entered the Western region, she took a deep breathe as she headed towards the Adventurer's Guild. Cataleya wondered if they were going to give up their fellow guild member. However, whatever information given to them, false or true, she'd go on that trail regardless. The truth would always come out sooner or later.

As she entered the guild, making sure to move out of the members who walked in or out of the Guild, Cataleya eyed the Guild, taking in the inside of its crevices and where things were stationed. She saw the mission request board, the bar, the receptionist, and some tables around the place. However, at seeing Simon nearly close towards the door where she was, Cataleya made her way over towards him, only to look towards the man he was talking to. She took notice of his attire as well as the weapon and gloves that he wore. "It's worth quite a lot, sir. You see, despite his dramatic play, he did threaten His Highness. I do not want to cause any trouble, we only wish to speak to him." Cataleya said towards him, making her way towards Simon as she turned her body to face the darkened skinned tone male. "Prince Malik isn't one to give up too easily, especially if he orders us to find Slane "Skillshot" Simmons." Cataleya said solemnly, yet her tone held the indication that things would be worse for the man if he wasn't found immediately.

*The dark skin man looked at short woman that had arrived with a look that said "are you serious?" Hw thought to himself; "This lady is crazy". He began to scratch his chin.*

That's nice and all. But how exactly is that my problem? You see lady, I need some compensation cause once I rat out my fellow guild member, everyone well question my loyalty to the guild.

*Before he could continue with his rant, Simon extended his hand. On thr palm was a large sack of gold coins. The dark skin man took it, and upon inspecting the contents, he smiled.*

This works. He went on a mission to the East. He is trying to find the source of the recent murders over there.

*Aislyn overheard the confession, and squealed out; "Reginald Moore!! How could you!?!"*

Sorry Aislyn, but money's money. Nah mean? Anyways Simon, right? Another guild member took this mission as well, so be careful, because this guild member is a feisty one.

*Reginald began to walk away, happy with the easy profit he just made. Simon turned to look at his partner.*

I hope you don't mind traveling to the east, it well take some time. Perhaps we should rent a carriage?

*Simon began to head outside. He planned on doing exactly what he suggested, weather his little cute partner wanted to or not.*
