Nathan Moreau; Mission Status
At the sound, he glanced toward the creature before his eyes came back to the woman staring him down, following her own eyes to be ready for any sudden movement that she might make. A surprise attack was not going to come his way if he had anything to say about it. As she lowered her blade, he finally moved his body to face her completely instead of just looking over his shoulder at her.

Listening to her say her piece, Nathan gave a nod midway through. "Same mission as you sweetheart," he simply answered then moved onto an explanation to why she had most likely never seen him as he only assumed she was Adventurer's Guild as well. "I only really take missions from the guild when I'm feeling it; I come and go. Though I don't tend to get involved in more political missions, the fact that someone has hired an assassins to kill researchers of all people, well it makes me suspicious about what they want to hide." He shrugged "Name's Nathan, and you are?"

Leia Salvatore

Juniper continued his gekkering as he didn't lower his guard even though Leia had done so ever-so slightly. She watched as the man slowly turned around, moving his body to face her completely. Observing the male from top to bottom, Leia wanted to commit the man's face and attire to memories, just in case she needed his silhouette for further reference. She noticed his dirty blonde hair and ember eyes as she looked him over, taking in how his hair tended to shine under the sun's rays as his ember eyes looked as if they were burning inside. However, soon, the man spoke, admitting that he was on the same mission as she was. Raising a slight brow, Leia turned her head to the side, letting her ears pick up on the sound frequency of the man's voice to hear better. The sound of Juniper's gekkering was making her a bit deaf in one ear as she tried to calm down her little fox friend. "Juniper, hush, it's okay." She cooed at him before she continued on listening to the man's explanation of why she hadn't seen him before.

As Juniper quieted down and ran around the area freely to probably find some food, Leia took this time to take in the information Nathan had given her. Nodding as Nathan finished explaining himself, Leia turned her head back to face him correctly, as she tapped her chin, "No wonder why you don't seem so familiar." She said nonchalantly as she placed Heartsbane in the holder on her side. "I have to agree," Leia continued as she placed a hand on her hip as she leaned against her left leg, "The Researchers must have viable information that could cause the assassins worry and trouble. Maybe instead of wandering aimlessly in the Arden Forest, we should go and check out for ourselves exactly what inside scoop the Researchers have found?" She suggested before a small pout appeared on her face, "You know. . . it would have been better if you showed face once in a while in the Guild, especially to avoid something like this from happening again. But, the name's Leia! Too bad you weren't the assassin . . I could've used a nice sparring . . . " A small laugh escaped her lips as she shook her head before turning in the other direction. "I'm curious as to what they've found, especially if that little research will give us clues as to what we're hunting instead of pointing fingers at . . . innocent people." But before she walked even further, Leia stopped in her tracks as she turned around abruptly to look at Nathan, comtemplating on something before speaking, "And oh," she began as a strained smile appeared on her face, "don't call me sweetheart, or rather, pet names. And if you're lying about who you are . . well, you wish you hadn't." Leia finished before turning back around to head back.

The merchant stared at the fair lady, listening to her quiet passion unfolding from the tip of her tongue. She was intriguing, and different from the elves residing in the comfort of the forest. Her eyes reflected her slumbering desire to reach beyond the trees, and to the vast lands stretched across seas. With a soft smile, the young man shook his head. "I'm not so audacious to say I would risk my life. Such boldness belongs to the adventurers. You're much like them." Wrapping the script in a fold of paper, he handed it to her. "But yes, I can't help but be drawn to rarities."

As the dame leaned closer, the merchant's eyes widened, slightly taken by surprise. Her eyes gleamed curiously as she spoke, and a small curve of his lips formed the slightest of smirks. However as she directed her attention to the forest, a distant scream could be heard.

Lucis smirked and rolled his eyes at the exilian, his lips forming the words pest. Still, with the taste of ash, the man followed the tall creature further into the forest.

*As they continued down the forest, they saw another checkpoint approaching. Bledsoe stopped, and began to scan the environment. This was a well made checkpoint, there were hardly any blind spots.*

Kill them Lucis, quietly.

*He saw no other way around them. They also seemed tense.*

Her ears twitched slightly from under her hood as she gently closed her eyes, feeling the emotions of the forest, every whisper, every movement, and every word, as it became part of her being as she felt them carefully. Her connection was as strong as day and withstanding as night, intruders have been found. Opening her eyes slowly as her eyes fluttered opened, the man's silky voice was heard at the corner of her ears as she turned to look at him. A small smile appeared on her face though her eyes showed a storm of emotions, though, the emotions never stayed in one way for long. Gently reaching over to take the script in the fold of paper, she nodded at him,"Ni 'lassui." [Thank you]. However, at the mention that she was much like adventurers, she blinked in slight surprise, "Much like them. . ? Perhaps. . but my heart belongs here, no matter if I yearn to travel as bold as they do." Her soft voice echoed around them, however, her attention was drawn back towards the Woods of Lyfamelle. Danger stirred within and she could not help but feel . . wary at such a feeling.

However, a distant scream was heard as she dropped the scroll on the ground, feeling the fear and despair course through her. Her hands shook lightly, though she willed herself be to resilient and take in what she's felt. Looking over at the merchant, " Did you hear that? Boe i 'waen. [I must go] If you can, please call for the guards, something's admist in the Woods." She spoke in a silvery and gentle tone to not cause any alarm to her people and the merchant, "Everything will be okay. Will you tell them for me?" Aistairaina asked the merchant as her face was calm and her hands weren't shaking as she gave him the money for the scroll. "Ni 'lassui, Mellon." [Thank you, friend]. At that, she gracefully picked up the scroll from the ground to see if her people had heard such a distant scream, some had been confused and some hadn't noticed, since the chatter of the marketplace was quiet noise-filled. Nevertheless, she hastened her footsteps towards the woods. Aistaraina felt an ominuous presence and she would not stand idily for something to happen.

Lucis smiled, "Well, aren't you kind." Drawing his hands from his pocket, a thin chain laced around his fingers. His lips curled into a snarling grin as he stepped forward, and appeared a distance beside two guards. The wind echoed as a whip of silver glinted in the sun, severing the heads of the two, armored elves. Withdrawing a small carton, the man lit the remaining cigarette held between his lips. He glanced at the six remaining guards, exhaling smoke with a dark chuckle.

"You see, Bledsoe? You're a huge ass bug. Suspicious as hell." Lucis shook his head as he sighed, shrugging sardonically. "You've attracted the attention from all these guards. Now look at them." Ashing his cigarette, Lucis gestured to the scattered remains of the elven guards. Despite his pestering remarks, Lucis had done as asked. The man took a deep drag as a passing wind rippled at the leaves and blades of grass. "Anyways, I think I found what we're looking for-"

A woman screamed, her hands quickly finding her mouth to cover.

"Damn," Lucis groaned, "so much for being quiet." Pacing by Bledsoe, he tapped the exilian and smiled. "You take care of her. I'm going to get ourselves a princess.~" Taking another step, he vanished.

As the man disappeared, the elven woman glanced down at her son by her side. "Khaled," she called, keeping her voice from trembling. The boy glanced up at his mother, tears in his eyes as his father laid beheaded before him. His mother pushed the boy in the direction in which they came from, her tone firm. "Run."

The merchant frowned, his jade eyes hollowing at the distant scream. His gaze flickered to the forests, an ominous presence disturbing the natural peace and thickening the air. As the dame handed the merchant money, he noticed her silky tone, smooth and without a ripple to the disturbance. However her hazel eyes spoke volumes, wariness, strength, and duty.
Realization settled behind the merchant's pale eyes, as he watched her rush a distance away. Drawing his keffiyeh closer to his face, his gentle voice was further softened by the cloth. "It would be better if you didn't, princess."

As the cloaked princess rushed down towards the woods, a drift of strong wind kicked up leaves and dirt, as if blocking her path.
"My, if it isn't the princess.~" A set of dark eyes peered down at her, his lips curled into a smile. In a blink, a man stood in close proximity of the princess, his head cocked sideways. "Where are you going in such a rush?"

* As Bledsoe walked by the dead bodies, the blood from the dead began to emerge into the space in front of Bledsoe, forming into an orb. The orb kept spinning as steam surrounded it. As the boy began to run, the Orb began to fire a concentrated, powerful squirt of mega heated blood towards the little boy. The squirt would pierce through vegetation and trees with ease. Upon impacting the little boy, he would disintegrate instantly. Bledsoe was now in front of the crying mother.*

Don't worry, he did not suffer.

*The superheated blood orb that was in front of Bledsoe dropped, landing on top of the woman. Her cries, her despair, was instantly gone. As all that remained was the steaming puddle of blood that was once a blood orb. Bledsoe opened his wings. As he began to flap them, the trees began to shake violently. A very load buzzing noise could be heard as he blurred through the sky's. Upon sensing Lucis, Bledsoe retracted his wings, and began to fall back down, landing in front of the elven woman as Lucis tilted his head sideways. The ground shook upon his landing, forming a creater underneath the Hmyziod.*

*Slane was exploring the forest with his trusty companion, Mandy, The Blink dog. He was searching for an elusive enemy. Every passing tree would tell him; "Not here", "Another area", "Near mountain". But Slane thought maybe he was hearing things. All of a sudden, the trees began to speak of more sinister things; "Death", "Child of the fairies". Slane looked at Mandy, and they teleported ontop of the trees. Slane witnessed a group of trees off at the distance shake violently. Then, a creature emeraged in the middle of the shaking trees. It was quickly hovering over the trees. The odd creature then turned into a blur, jetting through the skies. Slane saw where it landed. Many birds began to fly away from the area that the creature landed. With a thought, Mandy knew to take Slane to that area. The 2 began to rapidly blink towards the area.*

αιѕтαяαιηα

As Aistaraina raced through the forest, she stopped in her tracks as she felt the call of the trees within her. They sensed four more deaths as she closed her eyes and placed a hand on the tree next to her. Feeling the veins of the trees make its way down to the root of the trees as the roots spreaded across the forest, it allowed passage of her mind to see what the trees have seen. A small scene displayed in her mind as she noticed two blurry figures heading towards two guards. However, one of them stepped forward, as if in a gust of wind, teleporting in front of the guard quickly. The guard didn't react quickly enough before their heads were severed from their bodies. A slight ache was felt on the nape of her neck as she gasped inaudibly. The hood of Astairaina's cloak furthered draped over her eyes as she breathe in and out slowly.

Soon, the scene switched to a young woman seeing her husband's death, as her child, Khaled was in her arms. One of the figures disappeared as the other one emerged, using the blood of her dead elves to form a blood orb. Aistaraina felt tears dropping down from her eyes as she saw what happened next. The young boy Khaled as disintegrated into nothing and soon came the mother. Lifting her hand off the tree, Aistaraina's eyes opened as tears poured down from her face, feeling heat on her stomach. Those two . . were the customers that she saw at the merchant's place before she came over. The boy had a good life ahead of but, but now. . the family of three had been destroyed, not being of this world any longer. As the tears dried from her eyes as she held up a small prayer towards Ardar, Aistaraina needed to find those two individuals before they wrecked even more havoc among her people. How many guards have they taken care of so far? It was at least 4 guards who had a family, wasn't it? The deep lost and ache of an Elf held no bounds as the grief they will suffer being of this world. It was one of the true downfall of being Elven-born. Losing someone for the sake for protecting their family and their home brought the greatest suffering for them. Perhaps the Elders were correct, something was coming and it wasn't going to be pretty. Before racing through the woods once more, Aistaraina placed a hand on the tree once more, trying to find Akiva as she wanted to trees to connect with him, making a bond to alert him to tell the King and Queen.

Had the merchant warned the guards around the marketplace? Lyfamelle was in danger of being overruled by these beings that seemed to stop at nothing to get whatever it was they wanted. She didn't want any more innocent deaths, especially being attacked unprepared, she wouldn't have it. However, she felt the shifting in the air as she took a step back, covering her face from the strong gust of wind that was blocking her path seamlessly. As the leaves swirled in the motion of the gust, Aistaraina waited for the wind to die down as she looked at the person before her. Observing him as she took in his appearance, Aistaraina saw his dark eyes peering down at her as his lips turned into a smile, though it looked like a smirk, to her. On alert, Aistaraina prepared herself as she felt the ground beneath her shift as she felt the roots of the trees below. But, soon, in a blink of an eye, the man stood close to her her, taunting her, it seems. In a calm demeanor, Aistaraina spoke, "What of you? It seems you're in a rush as well." However, at the corner of her ears, she heard a loud buzzing in the air as she looked up in the sky. Seeing a distraction, Aistaraina took a step back, a few feet away from them as the bug, it seems, retracted his wings, causing an equator on the ground he landed on. Looking at the hole in the ground, Aistaraina looked towards him and back at the man. "What purpose do you have here? If not to cause. . . trouble. Friends and allies, you are not. You've forsaken this forest." Her voice echoed around the area, showing not only power but also gentleness in her voice. The roots from below showed slightly,as if waiting to protect her. But, there were roots below the two figures before her as well, ready to bind their legs to the ground, if needed.

Nathan Moreau; Mission Status
His eyes followed the fox for a moment as it quieted down, and began to ran out of sight, carefully thinking that he may come up behind him and bite him sensing the animosity it was expressing. Gone, he brought his head down and listened as she spoke of a course of action. Agreeing with her, he nodded his head "That sounds like a plan. Going to the research facility may also gain us a lead on where the assassins have been camping out," he added giving them another reason to go there if mainly for his own curious mind.

At her insinuation that if he were the assassin that it would've just been a mere spar, he chuckled a bit. "Don't judge a book by its cover, that's all I'm gonna say to that." The man followed behind her, eyes aware, but as she turned back to speak to him once more he shrugged placing both his hands on the back of his head. "Sorry it's just my way of talkin', won't mess up again," he said with a bit of sarcasm again following her from behind/

Leia Salvatore

Hearing the sarcasm in his voice, Leia rolled her eyes and shrugged her shoulders as she made her way towards the direction she came from. However, as they walked, Leia didn't plan on having a silent trip back towards the Elru Research Tower, instead she decided to make small talk with Nathan. "Did you talk to the daughter of the scientist or did you head straight first out of here to find the personal responsible?" She asked him out of curiosity, before adding another question with her first. "I mean, how long have you been out here? Did we miss each other by a few days?" Leia wondered why she didn't encounter the man on any missions before, was the world really that vast that the only way they'd encounter others that were or weren't part of the Guild is if they had the same goal in mind? Shaking her head out of that thought, Leia paused in her steps for a moment. Looking around the area, Leia surveyed the place, trying to see where Juniper had ran off to. "Juniper?" She called out towards him, not seeing her red-orange animal friend next to her. He had been such a good sport ever since she found him on her way to the East. But, where had he gone off to? Turning to look at Nathan, she pursed her lips, "Have you seen Juniper? He seem to ran off after gekkering at you. . no wonder it's been a bit quiet. Without the little guy, the travel seemed to be a bit longer." She commented as she found an attachment towards the small creature.

However, remember when Nathan told her not to judge a book by its cover, Leia spoke, as her raspy voice was heard clearer than before, "Really? If not a spar, maybe a duel then, sometime. A friendly challenge as I'll always say! Hm . . if you're not interesting in a duel between the two of us. . how about a beer drinking contest. I mean, of course, after this mission." She asked nonchalantly, giving him a small grin and thumbs up before she moved around the Forest once more, looking for Juniper but also the exit out of the forest. She was content with knowing Nathan agreed with her plan, even more so, at the idea that they'd be able to be on the same page. Leia didn't like it when someone had more information over her or kept it to themselves. It wouldn't be a fair challenge to see who would get to the bottom first. "Oh, speaking of which, where are you from originally?" She chattered on, liking that she not only heard her voice, but also other sounds of life and movements of the animals nearby. But, deciding that Nathan was a bit too far away from her to her liking, Leia turned back around and stood next to him instead, walking at the same pace he was. "It's easier to speak to you this way than my back facing you." She laughed lightly before seeing the pathway towards civilization of where the people of the East lived.
