So me and my friend was debating on if males and females can just be friends, best friends platonic relationship and just that? Or does there have to be some form of love or lust or just something more.

Yes.

It's not that hard to be friends with the opposite sex.

Define "Friend" Do you mean work friends, best friends, general friends? I can go into more detail then.

Exactly, however, if both parties are attracted to each other some shit might go down haha.

Yes, as long as they value the friendship enough to supress any romantic impulses. If there are none, no problem.

"Friend" isn't a very precise term, and many people define it differently. So far as I define friend, absolutely.

Well, I have great relationships with female friends at my workplace. Honestly, it's better than the men. Even if it's a stereotype of women, having a more over sensitive person with more emotional capacity helps. Then again when I work in a factory, most men are going to tend to be giant dicks. (Although they all like me because I'm like the nicest person there :P).

In terms of best friends, I have no idea. I never had strong female friends that were loyal to me, except one of my best friends mothers. I think it comes down to age and position. It's possible for people to be close, but sex and romance complicates things. That and if I found a woman that I click with that's single who I can work with, it would be very hard not to want to be with them.

In general, females can just be friends with men. Sex, love and children make it hard to keep it that way, unless there is some special circumstance.

That's at least my experience.

Yeah, but if someone has feelings for the other, it's probably not going to go well
I have male friends, though most of them are gay or bi
