One thing you DON'T like about Japan.
Posted 4/30/16
I love Japan, anime, people, girls, culture, heritage and history. This doesn't mean it's perfect however.

My number one complaint:

Lack of heating in some buildings is almost normal there.

Mate I've been to Japan multiple times, only a weakling thinks the country is cold enough to justify 24/7 heating . That being said I'll add my two cents.

I am a rather tall individual, I find the sitting arrangements in most places in the country are lacking for anyone over 167 cm. I prefer sitting on the floor over the short ass chairs they scatter here and there.

the government, the xenophobic people/places (some establishments will refuse to serve non-Japanese, or anyone that may look 'foreign')
, the companies that exploit their workers, the intense social pressure that cause people to commit suicide (Aokihagara forest gained international recognition because of the sad fact that it's a popular destination for those who want to end their lives), the fact that a simple rumor (not even proven to be true) can permanently end a seiyuu's career.

Yeah, my body is very easily frozen. My friends basement in the summer in 100 degree weather can be freezing for me. ( I don't get it either). Yeah I'm about 185 CM myself, I'm surprised they are well...so short on average.

Having to use that desu and gozaimasu and all that shit. It's really a massive pain.

The walls are thin, and allow noise to come through easily.

Maybe your anemic, the daughter of my adoptive father was. And she use to complain about the cold all the time even when I was sweating in a tank top and shorts.

As for the short thing, I use to joke with my friends that I'd be two feet taller then anyone in Japan. While the height difference wasn't that drastic it was pretty bad nonetheless. I blame the lack of protein and calcium in the average Japanese diet. Though they do have the highest average lifespan in the world to be fair.

Things I don't like about Japan:

-They're still a little stuck in the fifties there when it comes to feminism

-the whole idol/seiyuu culture where one rumor can kill someone's career, even if it's something normal like dating.

They're really strict when it comes to work/school. Long days and many more restrictions than we have here. Don't think I'd be able to handle that.

Their long work hours is a bit ridiculous and depressing.

Career options for women. I'm an industrial electrician. From what I gather, I cannot even hope to land that kind of position in Japan.
