Have you seen One Punch Man? (http://www.daisuki.net/us/en/anime/detail.ONEPUNCHMAN.html). It's a comedy, but there are some fantastic fights though out the show.

Cheers.

One Punch Man has the best animation for the fights in a tv show i've seen in a very long time. The finale looks like something made with the budget of a movie. Very low on the feels but one of the best action/comedy anime to date.

Berserk has really intense action, and it is a very emotional journey thanks to the protagonist, which is one of the best you can find in any anime. Towards the end it gets really gory and visceral so if you can't handle stuff like that, I suggest looking for something else.

Gurren Lagann and Kill la Kill. These are two different shows but both were created by the same person, and they are the craziest and most over the top anime you can find. Both of them are incredibly epic, especially Gurren Lagann, seriously the final battle in that show is the most epic and badass fight in the history of anime. The two of them are awesome, but I suggest checking out Gurren Lagann first, it gives you action and tons of feels too.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is really entertaining and has a very unconventional art style, it totally fits with what you're looking for.

If you don't mind your bad-ass fights being of the mecha variety, try Eureka Seven. It's an excellent, thoughtful show.

Although if you really want interesting artwork, the best I can recommend is Bakemonogatari, though the fight scenes there aren't really bad-ass. They usually just involve the semi-immortal main character getting torn to shreds repeatedly.

Aside from Berserk and OPM, I'll throw in:

Samurai 7
Ga-Rei Zero
Ajin
Samurai Champloo

And I'll add the movie Sword of the Stranger, just in case you haven't seen it.

Gintama.

The arcs that aren't comedy focused provide "feels". And they usually have some epic battles.

Shiki.

If you like vampires, and violence, and drama, and mystery with some fighting at the end. Also fits into the unconventional art category you were looking for.
