My cousin once told her father...

"When I grow up I'm gonna marry you just like Mommy!"

She was only 3 or 4 at the time so she didn't quite get his explanation why not (until she was like 5 or 6).

``Its ok , you don`t have to push yourself too hard, you are doing more than enough for me`` I told that to my mom when i was young about 11 or 12 years old.

I always thought it cute when a little girl would call her mom Mommy.

This is pretty common alot of sisters would say the same to their brother when they are young or a son to his mom when they are young if they are exceptionally close to each other.

Thank you. Everytime when my parents makes me food, I always say thank you. I think means a lot to them, I dunno.

In the Caribbean it is quite common to keep call parents mummy/mammy/mama and daddy/dada when you're an adult. That's what mother called grandmother up until she died two years ago. Our generation will say mum/dad in public or mother/father but at home well go back to what we usually call them.
