If women are equal to men then why have women not overthrown men?
Posted 5/2/16 , edited 5/3/16
This is the question I have today. There is no right or wrong answer, so I only ask my readers to seek the truth.

Men have oppressed men since the dawn of time. From the Slave Rebellion in Rome to the American Revolution, to the Chinese Civil War. Men have always overthrown the men that oppressed them. My question to you is this then.

If women are equal to men in every respect, which we are told, why is it then, that no majority female nations have overthrown the men who had or were in control of those nations?

( Remember, women being oppressed can't be an answer, that would conflict with the idea that men would be superior as men have overthrown men.)

What is it about women, throughout the centuries based on gender that made them non violent in trying to overthrow male dominance?

Well they are physically weaker, they raise children, they dont need to oppress men to get all the mans money plus now a days they have their own money anyways.
I guess if every single girl in the world(or in any single nation) all decided to never put out ever again then they could conquer men. Like if they made a stand and joined together and made a pact.
But tehn i guess rape would happen so...

Have you checked the meaning of equality? Having one side overthrow the other will leave the overthrown sided oppressed. It's a male dominated world now but it was was not always so. In ancient times it was a female dominated world. Child baring was central then.

The meaning of Equality? Well I know from a mathematical standpoint what it means. Perhaps you have your own method of defining equality? If I had to guess, it would be self capacity. That is, the same ability.

Can you elaborate more on ancient times when it was a female dominated world? Was it militaristic dominated by women?

But if this is true, that their capacities are the same...then why were women never used in warfare? I know my anatomy pretty well and my physics is semi-ok.

Why would I not want to use females on the front lines in let's say, the war of the roses? or 100 years war?

Women are physically weaker (on average). Yes, as someone mentioned, you can probably find women that lift heavier weight than some guys in the gym, but on average, they are weaker by genetics (lower strength, stamina, endurance, etc). This is also why most sports are split into men and women league; it simply isn't fair to have women compete physically against men. Therefore, because "overthrowing" someone tends to require mostly physical warfare (such as the examples you mentioned) women are less likely to be used.

Now that doesn't mean we can't have equality. In our modern day society, we rarely ever compare men and women based on strength anymore as most work are either cognitive or physical but with machines/technology.

Women are in the military I dont think the branch really matter on any part as each branch is challenging regardless! I even have future plans to go into the military!

According to some 2014 data I dug up, the country with the largest ratio of women to men was Latvia, being 54.2% women. The least was the United Arab Emirates, with only 26.3% of its population being female.

To put a little more perspective on it, the Global Gender Gap Report by the World Economic Forum reviewed 142 countries in 2014 and ranked Latvia about 15th and the UAE about 105th.

A quick look at some of the other countries listed in the Global Gender Gap Report and it's pretty clear that many of the countries where they report women enjoy the least equality are also the countries that contain the least women.

Oppression is generally thrown off when the oppressed significantly outnumber their oppressors. Rome had far more slaves than citizens, the American colonies had more colonists than British soldiers, etc. and even then, using Rome as an example, most of the slave rebellions were rather ruthlessly crushed. Meanwhile the majority of the countries where women are oppressed seem to have a population gender ratio favoring men.

But still there are a bit of an weakness for both.
And in war generally females are less of and advantage while more of an disadvantage.

Even if there are some few benefits here and there.
As it would be pretty hard to depend on a female in a squad, unless its like in NCIS (series) and such groups (like police forces in general not the more elite squads even though there could still be quite a little, very little chance of that happining?)

This seems super unsafe. Mad respect, but if that was my baby in there I'd be pissing myself on every rep.

By physically weaker he doesn't mean in absolute terms, just in natural advantage.

It, on average, takes a woman significantly more effort to develop the same amount of muscle mass as a man. You could also interpret that as, given the same amount of effort in strength training, on average a man would be significantly stronger than a woman.

Could be a self fulfilling prophecy in terms of infantcide. Not sure though.
