I've realized something about myself recently, I don't like it when things end. I'll put off reading the latest or final chapter, watching the last episode or two, and just all around delay seeing something end because I don't want it to end. How do you get over that feeling and just be ok with it?

Morning! And I don't get over it...... Not until I find another anime that is just as good....... But then again it really depends on the ending. If my favourite character died towards the end of it, I cry. And buy some anime merchandise so that I'd remember them and that's kind of like a funeral session playing out in my room........ I still download pictures of my favourite scenes and characters if it makes me happy too and the anime ended.

I like seeing how a series ends, I've personally got no problem watching endings and stuff. Sure after it's over I feel just a tiny bit empty but that just means I enjoyed the series.

I start something else.

If the ending was unsatisfying, I tend to rewatch/reread something I know is good.

Otherwise, I'll jump right into something new and start the whole process over again.

If the ending is open, my imagination usually churns through a few potential scenarios about what might happen next.

Rather than endings, the worst thing in my opinion is when the publishers try to chase ratings by releasing an unsatisfying sequel. There are quite a few shows that I think had a great ending to the original run, only to be spoiled by a continuation.

Well, for me it depends on how the show ends.

If I like/love the ending I'm happy and go read the manga if I haven't yet.

If I dislike/hate the ending I go read/write fanfic based on it hoping for the best.

Either way I always hope for new seasons, ovas or movies.

It's never easy and its always a bit depressing, but find something else to occupy your time until you find your next series you'll love. It might not be as great, but its all you can do until you can watch the ones that ended over again. c:

I tend to do this a lot too. And not just with anime. I do it with books, comics, video games... everything really. I hate it when my favorite stuff ends and I will try to stretch it out as long as possible. I've even forgotten to go back to some of the things I've never finished, especially in video games (I'll get to the final boss and then just stop playing the game).
