Lyin' Ted announces he is dropping out of the rat race.

No comment as to whether or not he will return home to Canada.

I had read that a child yelled "You Suck!" at Cruz during a rally on Sunday.

Bless his soul.

Y'know, I hate Ted too, but it's stuff like this that makes me want to VOTE for him just to piss the Trump Playground Gang off?

(The rest of us were sort of hoping it would turn to a contested Republican convention, just so we could see Trump stomp his feet some more when he found out for the first time that you didn't become the candidate just by being "so popular, you win-win-win your way up the polls"...
It's literally helped some of us teach our kids about the democratic process, because Trump seems to possess the same basic misunderstandings about our political process that your fourth-grade kids do, and by figuring out how to explain it to them, you can fantasize how to sit down and explain it to HIM.)

It is a shame that the GOP has become a circus
Long gone are the days when they had good men in that party

Trump got his win and deserved it. Now it's time to bring the party together with no hard feelings. Cruz gave it a good fight and I hope his supporters will realize that Trump will be better than Hillary and decide to vote for him.

Tonight was historic indeed.

Is it bad that I was expecting a punchline somewhere, but it never came?

I feel like for a significant portion of America, "I support Trump" is still seen as a joke, which is weird because of how many supporters he has. I'm not sure what that says about Trump's campaign, but I think it says something.

Maybe I shouldn't say this as a supporter of "The Donald" but I wish we had other options. I think Trump is one of the better candidates America has had in years but it makes me sad ( and almost cringe ) to see the elections having gone this way. It seems he did what he had to do in an as honest a way as possible but with how raw his campaign was I honestly am worried about whether or not Trump can get the bulk of the republicans who supported other candidates to vote for him. I hope things wind up working out no matter who wins the office.

Sundin! Hey!

They do which is hilarious, but now it is a reality and we as a party and a nation have to accept it one way or another. If those people still can't take Trump seriously and continue to underestimate him then they may be surprised in November when he could take the White House haha.

Look I've been critical of Trump basically the whole way through, but I realize the positives with him and I'm willing to bet on him than anyone else. He'll definitely bring a different spin in the White House and I think this country needs that desperately right now.

Yes, well said. Trump is going to have to be very smart with his rhetoric for now and make sure those core conservative voters that supported Cruz and others can hop back on board. Bobby Jindal and Mike Huckabee tonight said they'd all be voting for Trump, so if some of the higher ups start coalescing around him, it'll help republican voters start to unite too. It will probably take a bit of time though, this campaign has been so vicious between camps of each candidate so there is still a lot of hard feelings and resentment out there. But I think people will start to come over if Trump plays his cards right.

Ugh... Warren

Thanks for electing Hillary, morons. You just assured it; the media have just pulled the greatest con-job on all of you and you're too hopped up on adrenaline to see it until it'll be too late to realize you were just tricked into backing a Crony Capitalist buffoon with more skeletons in his closet than an ancient crypt.

Seriously, you just saw the media help push a LIE against Cruz and his family (seriously, a story in the National Enquirer...?) and not a single one called him out on it. And you have the gall to tell me he's a great man and a great candidate? Don't make me laugh at your stupidity!

If you think Trump is a champion of the people, I can tell you the location the Ark of the Covenant.

So, if you think we're just going to "hop back on" to your one-way train to hell, you can be the imbeciles explaining how you doomed America to no longer be free to your children and grandchildren. I - and others -will not be part of your stupidity, the price of which is a weight in blood and suffering I wouldn't envy on my worst enemies.

On the plus side, the primaries exposed just how many in America are Judases and liars.

#NeverTrump!

Can't wait for Trump to make America great again because Obama has done a good job of doing nothing and ruining the country with his idling.

At this point Trump and Hillary are already the party nominees. Trump's only competition now is Kasich, who will need to win more delegates than Trump in all the remaining states in order to stop him, which is impossible. Bernie is in the same boat. He would need to win in a major landslide, probably with at least a 50% margin, in every remaining state to get the nomination. Hillary on the other hand doesn't even need to campaign anymore. She can lose 40-60 in every state and she'd still have enough delegates to win. 2016 is the election where our two choices are a guy hungry for attention and a woman hungry for power.

If Trump wins(unlikely), the republicans will be ruined and will most likely never win the White House again for decades. It's not even safe to assume all his dangerous policies will be blocked by Congress thanks to Obama's precedent of "my executive orders are absolute blah blah blah deal with it." Our reputation abroad has already taken a massive drop thanks to Trump. If our enemies don't take us seriously now, they definitely won't change their minds if even our own allies oppose our new leader. If Hillary wins, the democrats will also fall apart thanks to the DNC rigging the game to give Hillary a ridiculously huge advantage and proving to everyone that the establishment will use any dirty trick to give their precious queen more power. No matter which of them wins, the Supreme Court will no doubt move towards a more authoritarian direction since nearly half of the SCOTUS will most likely be replaced within the next 8 years. In other words the Constitution is dead for an entire generation.

The pros and cons of this election season:

Pros:
- Both major parties will be forced to reform themselves or risk irreparable damage. And that's only if party leaders are even smart enough to realize what the only option is.

Cons:
- We're stuck with a narcissistic authoritarian as our president for at least the next 4 years.
- We'll have a SCOTUS that works against the people and for the government.
- Our presence around the world will make us look worse than we look now (isolated economy and war crimes if Trump, Middle East cease to exist if Hillary).

Overall, America loses no matter who wins the election. We're going to need a miracle to fix this country after the chaos Trump or Hillary plan to cause.
