My mother says you start learning from the day you're born and you don't stop until you die. I've begun to agree with her on this point.

That is absolutely true. Nonetheless, it might be argued that some things will help you to learn faster than others, and I was thinking more about intentional learning, or doing something with the explicit purpose of learning, rather than just happening to learn while doing something. You still have a good point, though.

Hands-on, on-the-job training, usually works for me. Reading on the material comes second.

I enjoy learning about a wide variety of topics. Basically once something catches my attention I will begin to probe deep and absorb as much as I am able on the subject. I have studied a lot of areas surrounding fields of health and medicine due to my occupation. Mental health has always been a favorite area of study personally. However, I also became obsessed with Egyptian culture after a few documentaries once and invested in several college course and many books.

I am more of a physical learner. I have always preferred more of an interactive and hands-on approach. Of course, this is not always possible. I also learn well with visual techniques such as films, reading, and studying images. I do not normally enjoy lectures or studying within larger groups. I do best when I can absorb things in a more solitary environment.
